American Hero, American Heel

John McCain Was Both

It took real guts to fly combat missions over North Vietnam, especially under Lyndon Johnson's policy of "Don't Win, But Don't Lose". Nobody can take that from him.

And his children have turned out well. That speaks well of the man.

But there is no getting around the fact that his politics, especially in recent years, have been disgraceful.

"I'm John McCain and I approved this message."

That's the signature line from McCain's signature bill, the Campaign Reform Act. It was meant to stop unaccountable smear campaigns by faceless politicians.

Yet that is exactly what McCain did when he conspired with Brennan and Comey to spread the Trump Dossier. Supporting sedition by an anonymous rogue National Security Apparatus is even worse than attacks by anonymous politicians. McCain's role was both hypocritical to his own stated principles and anti-Constitutional.

He told voters if they re-elected him, he would be "leading the fight to repeal and replace ObamaCare". Instead, he screwed over millions of families for personal pique.

His office conspired with Lois Lerner to have the IRS harass citizens in the Tea Party movement. Anti-Constitutional if not illegal.

He famously said "We have nothing to fear from an Obama presidency". He was wrong about that. too. We had nothing to fear from a patriotic black president, but not from Obama, who did vast damage.

He once fought to secure South Vietnam's borders but saw no need to secure America's.

He expected Republicans to support him when he was chosen, which we did--but failed to reciprocate when we chose Donald Trump.

It was a slur against America to equate the targeted discomfort put on Khalid Sheik Muhammad to stop another 9/11 (and get bin Laden's location) to the sadistic free-for-all inflicted on our servicemen at the Hanoi Hilton.

And his last public act was to leave Arizonans without a senator for a year, treating his office as a hereditary baronetcy. That's against the republican nature of our country and putting self before service.

John McCain had a chance to be a hero again, to tell the corrupt directors of the CIA and the FBI to stop meddling in the presidential campaign and get their grubby hands off of the election that rightfully belongs to the American people. He could have done that with his stature. But instead, he threw in with them. He failed to rise above his own bitterness. He chose Self over Service and the Swamp over America.

In the end, the Swamp Drained Him. He lost his way.

There's been an awful lot of that going around.

Peak Sanctimony Overload Alert-UPDATE:
The Washington Post now says military service confers sainthood,
which will come as a pleasant surprise to "Tail-Gunner Joe" McCarthy
and Col. North!

The Post also says any principled opposition to McCain's policies are
mindless "tribal politics", which is kinda' funny coming from a rag that publishes
nothing but mindless anti-Trump tribal politics seven days a week.

So Much For Loyalty-UPDATE:
John McCain was thoughtful enough to give Sarah Palin a Get-Out-of-Funeral-free card.
He was always thinking of others like that, so they tell me. And tell me. And tell me. And...

God continued speaking to Abraham,
“And Sarai your wife: Don’t call her Sarai any longer; call her Sarah. I’ll bless her—yes! I’ll give you a son by her!
Oh, how I’ll bless her! Nations will come from her; kings of nations will come from her.”

The Good News

Ephesians 2 19-22 The Message Bible

You’re no longer wandering exiles. This kingdom of faith is now your home country. You’re no longer strangers or outsiders. You belong here, with as much right to the name Christian as anyone. God is building a home. He’s using us all—irrespective of how we got here—in what he is building. He used the apostles and prophets for the foundation. Now he’s using you, fitting you in brick by brick, stone by stone, with Christ Jesus as the cornerstone that holds all the parts together. We see it taking shape day after day—a holy temple built by God, all of us built into it, a temple in which God is quite at home.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Holy Word and for the gift of Your Gracious Son, Christ Jesus our Cornerstone, Amen and amen!

Mueller Convicted Manafort: Now It's Time For the Impeachment

...of Bob Mueller.
Corrupt & Derelict, Atty. at Law
Robert Mueller convicted Paul Manafort on facts that were known to him a decade ago when, as head of the FBI, he declined to refer these same charges.

It was politically dangerous for Mueller to charge Manafort back then--he was well-connected to Republicans and Democrats alike, including the Podestas and Mueller's own law firm. So Mueller simply stuck the charges in his back pocket for a decade, a permanent indictment-in-waiting, a trick used by Soviet prosecutors.

Fast forward ten years and the political calculus for Mueller has changed. Now it is very much in his political interest to prosecute Manafort, in hopes of keeping the Obama/Clinton Coup Plotters out of jail themselves. (This has been going on for years now since it was illegally cooked-up by John Brennan, and this Mueller Fraud is just a continuation of that crime.)

Prosecutions are supposed to be about the need for justice--not the political needs of the prosecutor. FBI Director Mueller failed to refer charges a decade ago because of his own political needs, and Special Counsel Mueller brought charges today, also because of his own political needs. That is fundamentally corrupt.

And derelict.

Since Mueller convicted Manafort on the same facts available to him years ago, that is ipso facto proof that he was derelict in his duty back then.

Donald Trump hired Paul Manafort to secure convention delegates, a job he had done successfully for Pres. Ford against another insurgent named Ronald Reagan.

Consider this: If only the politically-corrupt and professionally-derelict Bob Mueller had done his job a decade ago, Pres. Trump would have never even hired Paul Manafort in the first place!

#ImpeachMuellerNow!
Clean Fingernails, Dirty Cop
VDH-UPDATE"The American people are losing confidence in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation not just because after 15 months, he has not charged anyone with Russian collusion—the original reason he was appointed. Instead, the pushback is due to the growing sense that rules are made up ad hoc.

Mueller is investigating suspects for lying to federal officials, improperly lobbying foreign interests, obstructing justice and violating federal statutes. Yet his team only seems concerned with those crimes to the degree that Donald Trump might be implicated. Otherwise, Mueller appears to have little interest in violations by FBI or Department of Justice officials who likely violated the law out of their worry over, or hatred for, Trump...foreign collusion involving Clinton’s campaign is not worth investigating in the same manner that Mueller is investigating Trump.

When there is no blind code of justice, people suspect that our institutions define wrong behavior and bad words as those in service to the wrong political agenda.

And they are right."

Lou Greco was one of the four men Mueller & Co. framed in Boston
to protect Mob informant and serial killer Joe “the Animal” Barboza.
Kept there by Mueller, the innocent war hero Lou Greco died in prison,
and never received his part of the $102 million paid out for wrongful imprisonment.

Corrupt & Derelict
Mueller didn't fire Strozk and Page because they were crooked--he hired them because they were crooked.
He only fired them because he was forced to: they gave away the whole Bunco Scam.

Dear Members Only: A Letter Back to Twelve Angry CIA Bureaucrats, Swampville, USA

It's Not About Freedom of Speech and You Know It.

CBS: "We feel compelled to respond in the wake of the ill-considered and unprecedented remarks and actions by the White House," the senior officials wrote. "We know John to be an enormously talented, capable and patriotic individual who devoted his entire adult life to the service of this nation."
The letter's signees include former Directors of Central Intelligence Robert Gates, William Webster, George Tenet and Porter Goss; former CIA directors Gen. Michael Hayden, Leon Panetta and Gen. David Petraeus; former director of national intelligence James Clapper; and former deputy CIA directors John McLaughlin, Stephen Kappes, Avril Haines, David Cohen and Michael Morell..."

Dear Club Members,

I read your letter. Thank you so much.

You know what else constitutes "ill-considered and unprecedented remarks and actions by the White House"?

A: Obama's One-Man Nuclear Treaty with Iran.

Every nuclear treaty of our lifetime until then was ratified by the Senate--truly unprecedented. But none of you heroes piped-up when Obama was sending them pallets of cash and uranium. Why is John Brennan's clearance more important to you than Iran? In what possible world?

When Brennan retired in 2006 and opened The Analytics Company, his security clearances allowed the company to break into the State Department's computers to repeatedly access McCain's and Obama's birth certificates, which he somehow leveraged into a directorship.

Odd; I don't remember any of you mentioning it.

Nor did we hear a peep from you when your fellow director John Brennan spied on another branch of government.

Is this what you mean by "patriotic"?

Washington Post: "Brennan’s apology to lawmakers was in sharp contrast to the defiant position he took when the dispute surfaced publicly in March. At the time, he warned that lawmakers would regret accusing the agency of wrongdoing.

“When the facts come out on this, I think a lot of people who are claiming that there has been this tremendous sort of spying and monitoring and hacking will be proved wrong,” he said.

Brennan was responding to accusations from Intelligence Committee Chairman Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) and others that the CIA had secretly removed documents from committee computers and attempted to intimidate investigators by requesting an FBI inquiry of their conduct."...

Hacking into Sen. Feinstein's Senate Committee computers, removing files and threatening investigators with FBI prosecution, then lying until caught. This all sounds so familiar. If that's how he treats friendlies, how do you think he treats the Opposition? The guy probably wiretapped his Mom to find out what he was getting for Christmas.

I won't even go into his bugs in the House cloakroom, wiretaps in the Court chambers or spying on reporters. Since you are all super-spies, I'm sure you can dig it up yourselves.

You have all been as quiet as churchmice about Brennan's spying and Agit-Prop activities in the 2016 election. Is it "service to the nation" to turn the CIA into a wing of the Democratic National Committee?

It begs the question: since you vouch for his actions, did any of you spy on Congress also? Threaten staffers with FBI inquisitions? Lie in your testimony? Did you hire spies to infiltrate American political campaigns, too?

As former directors, you would know that founder President Truman wanted the CIA to remain a non-operational information service. He didn't want the Agency involved in foreign election-tampering, let alone election tampering in America. Yet John Brennan did just that--and you all couldn't spare a syllable to stop it then or condemn it now.

None of these high crimes and misdemeanors caused you to speak up--not even Obama's "ill-considered and unprecedented" Unconditional and Pre-Emptive Surrender to Iran.

Only the loss of John Brennan's security clearance stirs you to protest.

Only then do you find your collective voice.

Only when your Order of the Creased Pant-Leg Gentlemen's Club for Distinguished Alumni-perks are threatened. Meh.

You know what? Donald Trump is doing the job you refused to do. Brennan has gone rogue and none of you--not one--has the guts to say so. Only Donald Trump.

I'm sorry you've lost your way. But you have. Thank you for your previous service. Go back to sleep now. We'll manage without you. We're used to it.

Sincerely,

America

ps: And thank you President Trump for serving and defending America today.

Somebody's got to do it for a change.

For a Change

Power-Mad Daddy

John Brennan, the guy who voted for a Stalinist, broke into the State Dept. for birth certificates, bugged the House cloakrooms, wiretapped the Justices' chambers, surveilled journalists, leaked the names of our agents, placed spies into a political campaign and hacked into Diane Feinstein's Senate computers and then lied under oath about it says Donald Trump is drunk on power.

Hmm...Brennan seems a little weak on that whole "separation of powers"-thing himself.

He even plagiarized Keith Richard's description of the Nazis for his own "Crossfire Hurricane"-coup against the voters.

No wonder he finds Sharia Law and Communism so compelling; control freaks of a feather collude together.

You've been hanging out with that power-mad Granny Clinton too long, Johnny.

Crybully Brennan's Security Clearance Sale

Donald J. TrumpVerified account @realDonaldTrump 4 hours ago
." speaking of John Brennan: “How did somebody so obviously limited intellectually get to be CIA Director in the first place?” Now that is a really good question!..."

John Brennan wiretapped and spied on the House, the Senate, the Supreme Court, the Press and the Opposition Party candidate.

Indeed, he was so busy spying on political opponents that he failed to stop Snowden, Manning, the Chinese takeover of our entire Personnel files, the capture of all our Chinese spies and Russia's complete takeover of the Executive Branch's computer system for weeks in 2014, to name but a few of his many, many failures.

Not to mention the mostly phony "Muh Russia!"-crap. If you believe those fairy tales, they occurred on Brennan's watch.

"No man is an island" is so very true
And yet he decided to pick your president for you.
And while a private citizen and an Obama advisor, Birther Brennan even broke into the State Dept's computers repeatedly for Obama and McCain's birth certificates. Try it sometime and see if you get to walk. Instead, he was awarded the CIA job for his crime.

His security clearance should have been yanked then and there. Just like he had the security clearance yanked from an award-winning civil servant who correctly reported the boatloads of money Brennan was lavishing on his campaign spy Stefan Halper.

The guy is a One-Man Constitutional Crime Wave and a Threat to Democracy. John Brennan is exactly why the Founders said "A Republic--if you can keep it" and "against all enemies, both Foreign and Domestick".

Crybully Brennan now says he's being silenced, but nobody is stopping him from writing another Phony Dossier with his British and Russian pals and other Hillary employees.
"It's as easy as lying--because it is lying."--G.K. Chesterton

Don Surber: ""That move from the White House 'has nothing to do with who should and should not hold security clearances — and everything to do with an attempt to stifle free speech,' the dozen ex-intelligence officials wrote in their joint letter."
President Trump pulled the security clearance for Communist John Brennan. A bunch of his fellow former CIA directors are up in arms.

Not over the fact that Brennan still had security clearance even after he left office. No, they are upset because President Trump is taking national security seriously. Up theirs. Pull their clearances, too.".......

The 12 Angry Bureaucrats automatically assume the President has the malign motive here to intimidate and silence. It never seems to occur to them that the malign motive is Brennan's.

Brennan bugged the House cloakroom. He spied on the Supreme Court justices. He bugged reporters. He hacked the Senate's computers, including the Democrats. He repeatedly broke into the State Dept.'s computers while he was a private citizen and Obama advisor for the candidates' birth certificates. Imagine Carter Page doing that. President Pence would have already assumed office like Jerry Ford.

If Brennan wiretaps friendlies like reporters and Diane Feinstein, what would he do to Trump? He would do exactly what he did--try to frame him and rig the election.

Harry Truman wanted the CIA as a purely informational service. He didn't want it to engage in peacetime cloak and dagger or interfere in foreign elections. Truman would have blown a gasket to know that John Brennan turned the CIA into an arm of the DNC to meddle in American elections (even if he did engineer much of it through the FBI to avoid criminal charges).

If these Company Town "experts" can't , won't or don't understand this, then maybe they're not smart enough to have clearances themselves.

Bill Kristol, #ProfessionalLiar

Weekly Standard = "Police State Gazette"

Julie Kelly:

"The Washington Free Beacon admitted last year that they retained Fusion from late 2015 until April 2016 to gather opposition research on Republican primary candidates. The website is run by Kristol’s son-in-law, Matthew Continetti. The Beacon posted numerous negative stories about the Trump campaign in 2016, including hit pieces on Carter Page in March and July.
The Beacon’s story keeps changing, however. At first, Continetti admitted that the Beacon “retained Fusion GPS to provide research on multiple candidates in the Republican presidential primary.” Days later, Continetti explained why his website failed to mention its relationship with Fusion in several related articles prior to October 2017. After some blather about aggregated articles, Continetti vowed that future articles “will mention its history” with Fusion.
And they did. A few days after that, the Beacon posted an article with this disclaimer: “The Washington Free Beacon was once a client of Fusion GPS. That relationship ended in January 2017.”
Say what? Something is not adding up here; in fact, it stinks.
We are expected to believe that Bill Kristol’s son-in-law paid Fusion throughout the 2016 presidential campaign cycle but Simpson doesn’t pitch one dossier-related story to either one? Kristol just comes up with the very same flimsy talking points that Simpson and Steele are peddling—at the exact same time—and it’s pure coincidence? Kristol just happens to call for an investigation one week before the FBI takes the outrageous and unprecedented step of probing private citizens working on an opposing presidential campaign? Kristol and Robby Mook just strangely regurgitate the identical Trump-Russia plotline—on the same morning?
Since the election, Kristol and the Standard have ignored major developments in Spygate while shamefully working with Democratic operatives to smear lawmakers such as Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif), chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, who are trying to get to the bottom of the scandal. Kristol has been in the forefront of keeping Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation working in perpetuity.
And the Standard has yet to report on Strzok getting fired. (Nor has Kristol tweeted about Strzok.)
Unfortunately, there are still some conservatives who trust Kristol and the Standard fairly to report on the Trump presidency and Republican Congress. It’s important that the public fully understands what role Kristol and his publication played—and continue to play—in fueling the biggest political corruption scandal in American history.
Kristol asks a lot of questions on Twitter. It’s time for him to answer some now."

Obviously strongly prefer normal democratic and constitutional politics.
But if it comes to it, prefer the deep state to the Trump state.

And by "deep state", I mean "me".

All But Forgotten Now, There Once Was A #NeverReagan Rump, Too

Just as the #NeverTrump Rumpsters Will Be Forgotten, Also

"REAGAN'S WHOLE CAREER WAS DEFINED BY BEING AGAINST THE ESTABLISHMENT. IN 1966, WHEN HE FIRST RAN FOR GOVERNOR, THE ENTIRE REPUBLICAN ESTABLISHMENT WERE FOR THE MAYOR OF SAN FRANCISCO GEORGE CHRISTOPHER, WHO WAS BRIGHT AND ARTICULATE MODERATE REPUBLICAN. BUT REAGAN WOULD RUN IN THE PRIMARY AND SMASHED CHRISTOPHER--IT ISN'T EVEN CLOSE. BUT THE ENTIRE ESTABLISHMENT SAID "HE'S A BROKEN DOWN GRADE-B ACTOR WITH WITH PREMATURE ORANGE HAIR. WE CAN'T SUPPORT HIM-HE'S  GONNA LOSE. HE'S GOING TO CARRY THE PARTY DOWN TO DEFEAT". INSTEAD HE DEFEATS GOV. PAT BROWN BY ALMOST 1 MILLION VOTES. IT'S A LANDSLIDE. REAGAN ALWAYS WAS BETTER WITH THE AMERICAN PEOPLE THAN HE WAS WITH THE AMERICAN ELITES. THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ALWAYS UNDERSTOOD HIM BETTER..."--Historian Craig Shirley

"I am impatient with those Republicans who after the last election rushed into print saying, "We must broaden the base of our party" -- when what they meant was to fuzz up and blur even more the differences between ourselves and our opponents.
It was a feeling that there was not a sufficient difference now between the parties that kept a majority of the voters away from the polls. When have we ever advocated a closed-door policy? Who has ever been barred from participating?
Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people? ...
A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers.
I do not believe I have proposed anything that is contrary to what has been considered Republican principle. It is at the same time the very basis of conservatism. It is time to reassert that principle and raise it to full view. And if there are those who cannot subscribe to these principles, then let them go their way."

Judge Sarah Backus Assists New Mexico's Islamo-School of Rock and School Shootings But Mostly School Shootings

As the #FakeNews Media Tries to Hide the Islamist Common Core Connection

"Isn't America great, you can murder kids, kidnap kids, and run an Islamic Extremist camp to teach kids to shoot up schools. If you get caught, Judge Sarah Backus will let you walk on a signature bond."--Ty from the Interwebs

Tenured Professors at Jihadi State Kindergarten University

Robert Spencer: “Their lawyer argued that there was a double standard in the case because his clients were Muslims. He argued that if they had been Christian and white, ‘we might not be here today.'”
Seriously? If they had been Christian and white, stockpiling weapons and plotting school shootings, with the ringleader being the son of one of the most respected Christian preachers in the country, there wouldn’t have been news coverage of anything else for weeks. There would have been feature stories in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Wall Street Journal. CNN and MSNBC would be running special reports on toxic Christianity and the crisis in the churches.
This incident, on the other hand, received very little coverage, and hardly any that touched on the Islamic aspects of the story. But Muslim claims of victimhood are so polished and reflexive by now, and the Leftist acceptance of them so matter-of-fact and instinctive, that Judge Sarah Backus fell right into line. We can only hope that no one dies because of her folly.".......

Moonwalker: "Space Force? Of Course!"

Making Andromeda Great Again!
"Houston, we have a Buzz!"
Katie Pavlich: One of the first men to walk on the moon, astronaut Buzz Aldrin, is giving President Trump's plans for a Space Force his approval.

Vice President Mike Pence         @VP     Since day one of our administration, @POTUS has kept his promise to restore America’s proud legacy of leadership in space. Now the time has come to write the next great chapter in the history of our Armed Forces. The time has come to establish the United States #SpaceForce.
The first thing I do every morning is put the American flag up on my balcony; and every night I take it down, and properly fold and store it. It’s saddens me how few people do this anymore.
History Stories: "Both Armstrong and Aldrin knew how important their mission was. “I was certainly aware that this was a culmination of the work of 300,000 or 400,000 people over a decade and that the nation’s hopes and outward appearance largely rested on how the results came out,” Armstrong recalled in an oral history.
As the men prepared for the next phase of their mission, Aldrin got on the comm system and spoke to the ground crew back on Earth. “I would like to request a few moments of silence,” he said. “I would like to invite each person listening in, wherever and whomever he may be, to contemplate for a moment the events of the past few hours and to give thanks in his own individual way.”
Then he reached for the wine and bread he’d brought to space—the first foods ever poured or eaten on the moon. “I poured the wine into the chalice our church had given me. In the one-sixth gravity of the moon the wine curled slowly and gracefully up the side of the cup,” he later wrote. Then, Aldrin read some scripture and ate. Armstrong looked on quietly but did not participate.".......

"He Has No Path to Victory"? Does the Deep State Media Have a Path Back to Journalism?

We Know What You Did This Summer. And Last Summer. And the Summer Before That...

The Media was on the FBI's payroll and the FBI was on the Media's payroll; the Perfect Closed Loop

Conservative Treehouse: The Media Are Hiding Their Knowledge and Duplicity – Buzzfeed, WaPo and New York Times Had Unredacted FISA Application For Over A Year…

"We shared a discussion thread several months ago about how the media are enmeshed within the story of the DOJ and FBI corruption. However, only recently did we discover the media engagements were not just pervasive, they were/are participatory.
As a consequence the same media cannot reasonably report on any aspect of the story without exposing their own duplicity; their only choice is to double down on lies they helped create and promote. ...
Tell me again how the media can possibly write about this now?
The problem is not just corruption with the U.S. Justice System, the DOJ and the FBI; the problem is corruption within the media.
We’re talking about thousands of hours of media TV pundits, thousands more columns written, and almost every scintilla of it based on originating intelligence sources -from the larger intelligence system- that are now being exposed as duplicitous and conspiratorial in the scale of their malicious intent.
This larger story-line has traveled in one direction. The narrative has only traveled in one direction. Each thread converging on codependent trails for collective stories all going in one direction. One big engineered narrative endlessly pushed. Think about how far the collective media have traveled with this story over the past eighteen months?
Hell, twenty-something-year-old “journalist” Ali Watkins was so committed to the resistance narrative she was even sleeping with her sources to get any little engineering angle possible.  One of the biggest leaks she was able to secure from SSCI Director of Security James Wolfe, was the full unredacted Carter Page FISA application.
Now, over a period of several exhaustive months, it has become obvious the collective journey, using all that collaborative expended effort, was not only going in the wrong direction – it was going in that direction specifically because the media were intentionally complicit in pushing demonstrably false stories in that direction.
The media have fully invested themselves in eighteen months of narrative distribution in only one direction. Not a single MSM entity has questioned their travel as a result of false leaks or false sources in the totality of time they have covered the DOJ and FBI story.
Nothing within their collective need to will-an-outcome will change the media’s proximity to facts when the truthful story behind the DOJ and FBI corruption is finally exposed. The media are so far away from the place where this story ends, they have no inherent capability to even begin to travel in the opposite direction, toward the truth.
The only way they could align with the truth is to admit that virtually every scintilla of their reportage over the past 18 months was inherently false or manipulated by the “sources” distributing the material for their reporting.
There’s not a single media outlet capable of doing that.
Think about a New York Times, CNN, New Yorker, Wall Street Journal, Mother Jones, Yahoo News or Washington Post journalist now having to write an article deconstructing a foundation of two-years worth of lies they participated in creating.
Do we really think such a catastrophic level of corrupted journalism could reconstitute into genuine reporting of fact-based information?
EVER?

Impossible.".......

Read it all.

What You Meant For Evil...

Breitbart Jerusalem: "TEL AVIV – Satellite images released on Saturday by an Israeli intelligence firm show the destruction resulting from an alleged Israeli airstrike on an Iranian missile production facility in northwestern Syria last month.

The facility has in the past reportedly been used to produce and store chemical weapons. It was overseen by Dr. Aziz Asbar, a top Syrian chemical weapons and rocket scientist, who was killed earlier this month when his car exploded in Masayaf in northwestern Syria. A senior official from a Middle East intelligence agency said the Israeli Mossad was responsible for the assassination...

According to that report, Israel had reason to believe that Asbar was leading a top-secret weapons development program called Sector 4 at the Syrian Scientific Studies and Research Center. He was collaborating with Maj. Gen. Qassim Suleimani, commander of Iran’s Quds Force, and rebuilding a subterranean weapons factory to replace the one said to have been destroyed by Israel last year.

The satellite images, released by the Israeli website Intelli Times, showed the facility both two days before the alleged attack on July 22 and in its aftermath. The facility was in charge of the production of the Syrian versions of Iran’s Fateh 110 surface-to-surface missiles, which have a range of approximately 200 km, according to the report.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights at the time said a “workshop supervised by Iranians where surface-to-surface missiles are made” was attacked.... The strikes were a response to a barrage of rockets launched by Iranian forces ..." ....... Rockets courtesy of B. Hu$$ein Obama.

AFP: "TEHRAN, Iran — Iranians reported Saturday that the state broadcaster had muted stadium noise during the previous evening’s soccer match in Tehran, in an apparent attempt to drown out anti-government chants.
Mobile phone footage shared widely on social media showed thousands of fans in Tehran’s Azadi stadium chanting “Death to the dictator” during the fixture between the capital’s Esteghlal and Tractor Sazi from the northwestern city of Tabriz.
Although the video could not be independently verified, it coincided with a decision by state broadcaster IRIB to mute the sound and avoid shots of the crowd.
“Yesterday, when the football was being shown, the sound in the stadium was turned down to such a level that one would think they were playing in an alleyway,” said one Twitter user.
IRIB’s soccer commentators blamed “network disruption” for the low volume, without giving details.
“They turned down the volume so no one could hear the slogans,” said another Twitter user.
Iran has seen nationwide strikes and protests in recent weeks, focused on high prices and unemployment but also featuring radical political slogans.".......

"Conservatives Must Regulate Google And All of Silicon Valley Into Submission" by Col. Kurt Schlichter

It's been a year since Kurt Schlichter published his brilliant column at Townhall, and it has only been been proven even more true by recent events.

"Google's fascist witch-burning of an honest engineer for refusing to bow down at the altar of politically correct lies was the final straw, an unequivocal warning to conservatives that there's a new set of rules, and that we need to play by them. First they came for the tech geeks; we’re next. That means Republicans at both the federal and the state level need to rein in the skinny-jeaned fascist social justice warriors who control Silicon Valley – and, to a growing extent, our society – through the kind of crushing regulation of these private business that we conservatives used to oppose.

They're going to hate the new rules.

Now, the old rule for us conservatives was that businesses could do pretty much whatever they pleased, with minimal regulation, if they focused on maximizing profit and thereby rained benefits down upon society in the form of wealth and job creation. It was a good system, but, like all systems, to get benefits you have to meet certain obligations. For businesses, one obligation was to generally stay out of the cultural and political octagon.

But the Woke Weenies of Silicon Valley, flush with cash, power, and unearned smugness, decided that they just couldn’t keep on the sidelines and make their money. No, they had to make change, as in, changing us. They violated the most important of the old rules – they chose a side. In the past, when a company or even an industry crossed the line, it rarely made much difference. So some insurance company was outspokenly progressive? So what? The one exception was the mainstream media/Hollywood complex – its actions were extremely annoying (and destructive), but it had the First Amendment to protect it and we conservatives had alternate channels to get our ideas across.

Not so with the Googles, the Facebooks, and the Twitters. Their antics are not necessarily protected by the First Amendment, their internet monopolies choke out alternative channels, and, unlike the line-crossers of the past, they possess enormous amounts of personal information that can be used to manipulate, intimidate, and punish political opponents – you know, us. Worse, their leaders are evangelists of cultural Marxism, so these companies don’t even have the fig leaf of objectivity that the mainstream media has (or had) to constrain them.

Yet they still expect the same laissez-faire treatment as any other business even as they try to gut us politically. They discriminate against conservatives, they actively assist leftist partisans like Felonia von Pantsuit, and they aggressively silence conservative voices within their apps. They imagine that they can adopt new rules for themselves while keeping in place the old rules that prevent us from defending ourselves because of “free enterprise” or something.

Nah.

See, what leftists do not get is that principles are part of systems. Principles do not stand alone; they are nested within a system and together they make it function smoothly. Our system isn't some cultural cafeteria where you load up your plate with the principles you like and hard pass on the principles you don't. If you decide you don’t want to play your part in the system, you shouldn’t be shocked when the other participants make the same decision. “Free enterprise” means “enterprise generally free of government control,” and it’s stunning that the Silicon Valley people we hear are so smart don’t foresee that when their “enterprise” morphs into a partisan political campaign the people on the other side of the spectrum are going to leverage their own political power in response.

There’s sometimes a moment when a system is unstable because one participant has changed the rules, but the other side hasn't yet reacted – like the period after feminism demanded total female social equality with men, but men still generally picked up the check. That imbalance cannot persist forever; eventually the people on the other side feel like suckers, so they stop playing by the old rules. That’s when the new rules arise. And that's why conservatives now need to savagely regulate companies like Google, Facebook, and Twitter. We need to use our political power in Congress and red state legislatures to incentivize Silicon Valley to return to a system where its companies embrace political and cultural neutrality, or suffer crippling consequences.

Yeah, I know that heavily regulating private businesses is not “free enterprise,” but I don’t care. See, “free enterprise” is a bargain, and they didn't keep their part of it, and I see no moral obligation for us to be played for saps and forgo using our political power to protect our interests in the face of them using theirs to disembowel us. I liked the old rules better – a free enterprise system confers huge benefits – but it was the left that chose to nuke them.

So what are we talking about? Well, size matters, and Silicon Valley’s giants are just too darn big. Time to chop them up like old Ma Bell. Let's apply the antitrust laws that were made for taming just these types of octopod monopolies. For example, Google and Facebook’s tentacles have slithered into every corner of the web and strangled the competition. There was a word for that back in the day – what was it? Oh, yeah. “Monopoly.” The left used to like breaking up monopolies until its leftist allies starting controlling them. But the leftists don't control the executive branch. Since Attorney General Sessions isn't busy investigating the Democrats, maybe he can get his army of lawyers busy breaking up these enormous, bloated, anti-competitive conglomerates.

Remember, no corporation should be too big to fail – or nail.

Google previewed a future of conformity and fascism when it fired that engineer for talking about things that made social justice warriors sad. It's not hard to imagine that they'll soon try and silence the rest of us. One way is by weaponizing the information they maintain on all of us from search histories, purchases, and even email, information that gives leftist hacks incredible leverage to intimidate and extort opponents. “Gee, Mr. Conservative, it’d sure be a pity if the world found out about your browser history involving brony and furry erotica….

So we need legislation – at both the federal and individual red state levels – that will impose staggering, gut-wrenching monetary penalties for not only the active misuse of this information, but even for the mere failure to safeguard it – any failure to safeguard it. If the info gets out, Google gets slammed – hard. Call it the Citizens’ Data Protection Act – gosh, who could oppose protecting citizens’ data? – and impose huge civil and even criminal penalties for any disclosure of private information about a private citizen. Yes, that’s a strict liability standard – if a citizen's information gets out for any reason, Google pays through the nose regardless of fault. Now there’s an incentive to make sure our data is secure.

And what's also scary is their willful manipulation of the algorithms that determine what can and cannot be said and read. If you don't exist on Google, in many ways, you really don't exist at all. Well, that's intolerable. Our free society conducts its business on the Internet, and if one unaccountable, partisan group can decide what topics can and cannot be discussed, we no longer have a free society. We'd have a fascist one, and fascists are bad even if those fascists swill kombucha tea, bike to work at a Mountain View campus, and spew ridiculous mottos like “Don't be evil.”

So how about the Algorithm Transparency Act, a law that bans these big Internet companies from putting their fingers on the scale of discourse and requires them to make available online all of their operating algorithms? Yep, that would give competitors a peek at their intellectual property, but that’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make for transparency. And “transparency” means allowing an army of Davids to dig through Facebook and Google’s code, finding out why things the tech leftists don't want you to know are getting buried, and then feeding that info to trial lawyers.

Oh yeah, that’s the other part of the equation. We need to empower individuals and/or consumer advocates to bring lawsuits seeking huge damages for the manipulation of information designed to silence or stifle disfavored points of view. And the great part is that enforcing it doesn't need to be a government thing. We can model it on the Americans with Disabilities Act – that’s the law that makes it so you can play a soccer game in a public toilet stall.

See, the government doesn't enforce disability accommodation laws; private citizens and their lawyers do, for money. When somebody finds a ramp with an angle that isn't perfect for people on Rascals, or a urinal that's too high for dwarves, they file a lawsuit to collect substantial penalties and, more importantly, grossly inflated legal fees. That's key – suing citizens must be able to recover their attorney’s fees from the tech companies. Let’s unleash the power of ambulance chasers on Silicon Valley’s tyrants!

Of course, the big tech corporations would immediately complain because everything they do would be scrutinized and they would constantly be under observation for any deviation. Great. Then they would know how conservatives in Silicon Valley feel.

Not exactly old school conservatism, right? Well, it’s not exactly old school America. Too bad. We liked the old system, but you tech twerps decided to change it. So be it. Too bad that, for some reason, you thought we wouldn’t change too.

Like I always say, you're going to hate the new rules.".......

And it is our job to make them hate those new rules.

Old rules, too, for that matter. There is already a law against fraud. It is fraud to entice users to open accounts without telling them they will be shadow-banned, harassed and censored for conservative viewpoints and conservative viewpoints alone.

And it is financial fraud to sell advertisers eyeballs without telling them you are suppressing traffic in the service of Leftist politics.

Bullies need the "Bully!"-treatment.

Leadership at Last: All Swim!

At the Old Swimmin' Hole

NTK: "In 2015, the year that President Obama enacted the Iran nuclear deal, Iranian vessels harassed American ships 22 times. That aggression escalated in 2016, Obama’s last year, with 36 instances of provocation.
Included in those 2016 numbers was the abduction of American sailors, which the Iranians filmed and broadcast to the world.
However, the numbers have dropped precipitously in the years since President Trump took office. Trump has frequently deployed tough-on-Iran rhetoric.
Iranian vessels pestered American naval ships only 14 times in 2017, Trump’s first year, and that number has fallen to an incredible zero occurrences of Iranian aggression so far in 2018.
Trump withdrew the United States from the Iran nuclear deal in May of this year.".......

Just having a real president again has made our troops safer. Not to mention the nation.

"I'm Bob Dole and Bob Dole approves of this message, people."
 Kicker: The NY Sun:
"...Secretary of State Haig tried to get President Reagan to agree to the Law of the Sea Treaty. This happened at one of the first meetings of Reagan's National Security Council, when the hapless Mr. Haig suggested the treaty was..."something we didn't like but had to accept, since it had emerged over the previous decade through a 150-nation negotiation." Mr. Haig then lunged into details about the options and sub-options for revising the document.

The president looked puzzled, then finally interrupted. "Uh, Al, isn't this what the whole thing was all about?" Mr. Adelman recalls Mr. Reagan responding. Mr. Haig asked him what he meant. ...

"Well," Mr. Reagan shrugged, "Isn't not going along with something that is 'really stupid' just because 150 nations had done so what the whole thing was all about — our running, our winning, our governing?"

A stunned Mr. Haig folded up his briefing book and promised to find out how to stop the treaty altogether.".......
