FoxNews: "Dr. Dale Klein may be the highest-paid U.S. government employee who literally does nothing while he’s on the clock [Ed.-There are so many other candidates for that honor!]. A highly rated pain management specialist at the Southeast Missouri John J. Pershing V.A., Klein is paid $250,000 a year to work with veterans, but instead of helping those who served their country, he sits in a small office and does nothing. All day. Every day.
“I sit in a chair and I look at the walls,” the doctor said of his typical workday. “It feels like solitary confinement.”
A double board certified physician and Yale University fellow, Klein said the Department of Veterans Affairs (V.A.) took away his patients and privileges almost a year ago after, he alleges, he blew the whistle on secret wait-lists and wait-time manipulation at the V.A. in Poplar Bluff, Mo., as well as his suspicion that some veterans were reselling their prescriptions on the black market.
When his superiors did nothing, Klein went to the inspector general.
Klein was initially placed on administrative leave. The Missouri-V.A. closed his pain management clinic and tried to terminate him. According to court documents, the V.A. tried to fire Klein “not based on substandard care or lack of clinical competence” but instead for “consistent acceleration of trivial matters through his chain of command.”
“I do not consider secret wait-lists and manipulations of wait times to be trivial matters,” Klein said.".......
No, but The BureaucraBlob considers veterans to be trivial. What it considers important are its own salaries, benefits, perks, bonuses, permanent jobs and permanent power.
When the problem is long wait times to see a doctor, The Blob punishes veterans further by benching a good doctor who could be serving veterans--not to mention the tax-payers. Not only should they be fired, they should be charged.
Like the EducationBlob which is run for the benefit of unionized grown-ups and not kids, the VetBlob is run for the benefit its unionized employees, not for vets.
Which brings us to this story from Christian Action Network:
The taxpayer-supported Department of Education (DOE) is funding an Islamic indoctrination program in America’s public schools in grades 5 through 12, Christian Action Network has learned.
Students are taught to learn Islamic scripture, give the meaning of that Islamic verse, and explain how they can use it in their daily lives.“How can this be anything other than indoctrination?” said Martin Mawyer, president and founder of Christian Action Network (CAN).
The DOE offers no similar lesson plans for Christianity, Mawyer added. “There is absolutely no balance in the curricula offered. Only Islam is given a full course of study.”
The Islamic education program, funded by the DOE, is primarily disseminated through PBS LearningMedia and the Educational Broadcasting Corporation.".......
Something tells me this may not help PBS's fight to stay on the taxpayer tit.
This is the Dawa, a snare from Obama's Muslim Brotherhood moles burrowed deep into in the bowels of the Edu-Blobocracy.
And what is Dawa?
She's glad you asked:
"If Islamism is the ideology, then dawa encompasses all the methods by which it is spread. The term “dawa” refers to activities carried out by Islamists to win adherents and enlist them in a campaign to impose sharia law on all societies. Dawa is not the Islamic equivalent of religious proselytizing, although it is often disguised as such by blending humanitarian activities with subversive political activities.
Dawa as practiced by Islamists employs a wide range of mechanisms to advance the goal of imposing Islamic law (sharia) on society. This includes proselytization, but extends beyond that. In Western countries, dawa aims both to convert non-Muslims to political Islam and to bring about more extreme views among existing Muslims. The ultimate goal of dawa is to destroy the political institutions of a free society and replace them with strict sharia. Islamists rely on both violent and nonviolent means to achieve their objectives.
Dawa is to the Islamists of today what the “long march through the institutions” was to twentieth-century Marxists. It is subversion from within, the use of religious freedom in order to undermine that very freedom. After Islamists gain power, dawa is to them what Gleichschaltung (synchronization) of all aspects of German state, civil, and social institutions was to the National Socialists.
Dawa as practiced by Islamists employs a wide range of mechanisms to advance the goal of imposing Islamic law (sharia) on society.
The Islamists’ program is fundamentally incompatible with the U.S. Constitution, religious tolerance, the equality of men and women, the tolerance of different sexual orientations, and other fundamental human rights.
The biggest challenge the United States faces in combating political Islam, however, is the extent to which agents of dawa can exploit the constitutional and legal protections that guarantee American citizens freedom of religion and freedom of speech—freedoms that would of course be swept away if the Islamists achieved their goals.".......
The first story is about the UnionBlob putting themselves ahead of veterans. The second story is about the Muslim Brotherhood penetration of the Perma-Blob.
And both stories are about the need to gut the pernicious Administrative State that thinks itself the Ruler of a free people, and not their servant.
Die, Beast, die.
Drain that Swamp, Mr. President--the sooner, the better.
