Caught a Canuck Munk Debate last night with Andrew Sullivan and E.J. Dionne vs. Newt and Kimberly Strassel; "Trump and American Democracy".
Their team: "Putin! Autocrat!" etc. Our team said Trump is restoring both the spirit and the forms of our democracy.
This Obamacare order is a case in point. The House says they never funded it. The District Court agreed. The Executive, with the explicit authority under the ACA law, also agrees. All three branches of government agree.
He sure does obey the law a lot for an autocrat.
The latest #FakeNews/SwampDweller meme: Obeying the law and utilizing the provisions of the law that Democrats wrote and passed is "Sabotaging the Law"! That has the strong whiff of Animal Farm Soviet psychiatry about it.
IT'S BEEN SO LONG SINCE ANYBODY OBEYED THE LAW IN THAT TOWN THAT THEY'VE FORGOTTEN WHAT ITS LIKE!
Internationally, pulling us out of the anti-Semitic UNESCO is also a blow against Global Government and for American Democracy.
And now President Trump is decertifying the explicitly unconstitutional illegal One-Man Treaty that a scofflaw president entered into with the Mullahs, with the Iranian legislature, with the UN, with Euro-Socialists, with Big Business and with Vladimir Putin--with everybody but the United States Senate as required by the Constitution, by the law and by simple common decency and patriotism.
Obama obeyed his Ayatollah's every command. He joined with the Mullahs in negotiating against America, and against both the American and Iranian peoples.
He rescued the regime on the brink of implosion.
He gave them all the benefits upfront so as to lock in future administrations to the treasonous sell-out.
No Americans are allowed to inspect, only globalists with different agendas. And even they are not allowed to inspect freely. And Iran is allowed to have weapons eventually.
That is their goal, whatever phony words are thrown up as gorilla dust. The only thing better would be having America pay for their weapons--which Obama also arranged.
Already the #FakeNews is acting as the Ayatollah's mouthpiece.
Now we get to see if SpongeBob Corker and Co. want to try and save Valerie Jarret's handiwork again, or if they are "against" it like they were "against" Obamacare.
Additionally, the president is unraveling the illegal Climate Treaty, the un-legislated War on Coal and seating pro-Constitution judges.
Thanks for restoring the Rule of Law, Mr. President. We've missed it and it's about time somebody in Swampville stood up for it.
It's what separates us from the gators, snakes and crocodiles.
Iran-UPDATE: The Federalist:
"Boeing and Airbus have been the two biggest winners of the Iran Deal, each agreeing to airplane sales to Iranian airlines collectively totaling over $30 billion. (No doubt they'll want those risky deals insured by tax-payers. And intense pressure will be applied by many other Multinational$--ed.) ...
Trade is a means to the Islamic revolutionary end.
Supporters of the Iran Deal assert that increased commerce will help bring Iran into the “community of nations,” and suggest that political liberalization will follow economic liberalization. But Russia and China prove how disastrously wrong this theory is.
What the Iran Deal actually does is create a richer, more powerful mullocracy better able to fund its bellicose activities. When and if Iran does build or acquire nuclear weapons, it will be in a far stronger position than it was before the deal was struck. Meanwhile, Iran may be closer to nuclear weapons than anyone knows. ...
Iran was in violation of the JCPOA from day one—as it required secret exemptions to meet the standards needed to begin implementing the deal, and has continued to violate the agreement in subsequent months.
German intelligence reports indicate that Iran tried at least 32 times to procure equipment probably or definitely related to nuclear or ballistic missile proliferation in 2016.
The IAEA has admitted it cannot inspect the very military sites where Iran’s illicit nuclear activities are likely to be carried out under Section T of the Iran Deal. The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) recently released an investigative report alleging four such major sites that “with high degrees of certainty” are involved in aspects of an ongoing military nuclear program. Iran has said it is unwilling to provide access to such military sites.".......
The Swamp is roiling...
