Smear Campaign Works vs. Dead Campaign Workers

While in the Senate, 37 year-old Ted Kennedy killed his young campaign staffer while cheating on his wife and driving drunk and high on LSD. He abandoned her to drown alone and hid until he sobered up, wearing a neck brace for sympathy.
Yet his Senate pals all called him "The Lion of the Senate". The press said Mary Jo Kopechne would enjoy the welfare programs he passed. If she wasn't, you know, dead.

"Majority leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky said Kennedy was someone who could separate the personal from the political and who stayed true to his word. Those are characteristics that will help the body function better in the future, and there are already signs of progress, McConnell said.
“A real sense of renewal is taking hold in the Senate,” McConnell told a crowd of about 200 people gathered at the first lecture in a series titled “Getting to the Point” at the newly opened Edward M. Kennedy Institute."
On one hand, you've got a corpse and long history of abuse. On the other, brand new never-before-seen charges, out of the blue from 40 years ago on an election eve.
Yet Mitch McConnell hates Roy Moore while he loved him some Ted Kennedy.
McConnell found Kennedy perfectly fit to serve in the Senate. "Passionate". "Vigorous". Even a "Giant", said McConnell. Shame on him.
Cory Gardner and Ted Cruz, too.
Judge Moore is being persecuted for Speaking Truth to Power.
