From 1956 to 1971, Hoover's FBI targeted Communists, subversives and student radicals for COINTELPRO spying. Sadly, even Rev. King as well.
The student radicals of the 70's eventually long-marched their way into power: Obama, Clinton, Holder, Brennan, Ohr, Comey--even Christopher Steele, campus Commies all.
They essentially revived COINTELPRO and aimed it in the other direction, at conservatives, opponents and Donald Trump.
Spy-Gate is the New COINTELPRO, with high-tech tools Hoover only dreamed of.
BTW, as Prosecutor John Durham begins to bring charges against various seditionists, you may expect to see a lot of "Republicans Pounce!"-coverage. If only I had known the principle of "Republicans Pounce" when I was a kid:
"The issue is not whether or not I misbehaved, Mom; it's really about Dad's reaction when he gets home!"
It is just another trick by the #Professional Liars to minimize the crimes, shift blame and protect the guilty--the usual.
