Hmmm...
"Remember that time in 2008 when private citizen John Brennan broke into the State Dept.'s computers three different times for Obama's passport and birth certificate files, unknown even to the Obama Campaign? Why do I ask? No reason." |
Obama paid $400M ‘ransom’ to Iran (nypost.com):
"The Obama administration quietly shipped $400 million stacked on wooden pallets in an unmarked plane to Iran in January — just as Tehran was releasing four Americans who had been detained there, according to a report.
The huge cash load represented the first payment of a $1.7 billion debt that Iran, at an international tribunal in The Hague, claimed it was owed over a failed 1979 arms deal signed before the fall of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal Tuesday night.
The Obama administration was accused Tuesday night of making the cash-for-hostages deal by timing the payout to the release — but US officials said the money was simply part of settling the nearly 40-year-old debt under the terms of the historic nuclear agreement hammered out in 2015.
“As we’ve made clear, the negotiations over the settlement of an outstanding claim . . . were completely separate from the discussions about returning our American citizens home,” State Department spokesman John Kirby told the Journal."
Obama: We Had to Send Iran Pallets of Cash, Couldn’t Send a Check (breitbart.com):
"President Barack Obama feigned ignorance as to why Republicans were upset by a Wall Street Journal report that pallets of cash were delivered to Iran the same day as the American hostages were released.
Obama explained that pallets of cash were used in the exchange because the United States doesn’t have a banking relationship with Iran. “[W]e couldn’t send them a check, and we could not wire the money,” he said during a press conference at the Pentagon today.
He insisted that the administration was transparent about the payments to Iran, even though the knowledge about the manner of the payment was not previously disclosed. But Obama mocked the notion that the new details made any difference.
“It is not at all clear to me why it is that cash, as opposed to a check or a wire transfer has made this into a new story,” he said. “Maybe because it kind of feels like some kind of spy novel or you know, some you know, crime novel because cash was exchanged.”
He said that notion that the payment to Iran was a hostage payment was not true, insisting that it “defies logic” that his administration would do so.".......
BTW, that was essentially an illegal One-Man Treaty. And now that they’ve stolen the election, it is back in force.
As Lara Logan noted, the Taliban is headquartered in Pakistan as clients of ISI. Pakistan being the martial law-country in 1981 where student Obama went with his boyfriend at the beginning of his long march.
Q: If you wanted to send the Brotherhood pallets and pallets of cash as tribute jizya payments, and every other kind of concession, how many hostages would you have to leave behind in Afghanistan to justify it?
No reason.
