As James Buchanan Sighs In Relief
"Aunt Fancy" Buchanan: "My feckless dithering and visionless leadership helped cause the Civil War--and I'm still a better president than those two! Plus, I was trans before it became mandatory!"

David Harsanyi: Reminder: Jimmy Carter Is Our Worst Ex-President
Joe Scarborough is wrong. The world would have been a far better place had Carter left the stage.
… “Great men” do not, as Carter has his entire post-presidential life, use freelance diplomacy abroad to undermine elected American governments. They do not coddle and legitimize tyrants and murderers around the world. They do not undercut liberalism by allowing despots to use them as props. It is one thing to meet with detestable characters as president — diplomacy and American interests often dictate it — but it is quite another to ally yourself with them as a free man. Yet, that’s what Carter has done for 40 years.
Carter was the first, and only, ex-president to visit communist Cuba. “I look forward to this opportunity to meet with Cuban people from all walks of life and to talk with President Castro,” Carter claimed. While there, Carter would spin fantasies about Cuba’s “superb systems of health care and universal education,” while offering perfunctory attention to the hundreds of political prisoners who were, as he tossed around a baseball with Castro, being imprisoned and tortured.
Then again, there are few communist strongmen who haven’t sung Carter’s praises."Mr. Harsanyi makes a strong case, but he's wrong. Every bad thing Jimmy Carter has done as ex-president, Barack Obama did as president. You're safe, Jimmy.
For example, Carter visited Cuba as an ex-president.
But Obama visited there as a sitting president. He let Raul raise his hand in victory pose like Khrushchev and Fidel circa 1963, stood for the Communist anthem, posed in front of Che's image at the Secret Police Headquarters, met secretly with Fidel and lied about it...and then went to Argentina where he told schoolkids that Communism was just as good as Free Society. Oh, yeah--he also let the Cuban military dictatorship nose around the DEA Command Center to learn how to smuggle drugs better.
While they both practiced gutless kowtowing to terrorists and reflexive doormat-ism to dictators, Carter at least tried to stand up to Iran. He would have never given them nuclear weapons in a One-Man Treaty.
But one fact stands out like no other: unlike Barack Obama, Jimmy Carter never weaponized the entire National Security State to wiretap and frame Ronald Reagan and to fix the 1980 election for Democrats. It would have never even occurred to him.
Yes, Carter has had much longer to be a horrible ex-President--and has missed few opportunities. And publically, Obama has been pretty quiet.
But behind the scenes, Obama has continued to shit on George Washington's Peaceful Transfer of Executive Power. His minions in the Perma-Blob Deep State still continue their seditious Coup Attempt to this very day. Those were his FBI stooges conducting the Mueller Fraud and those are his CIA stooges now conducting the Whistleblower Fraud in hopes of fixing the next election...and saving his own neck.
There is no good off-ramp once you start going down the road of Coup Attempts. Not just because it breaks the Civic Compact of our polity--that is, why should I enter into an election with you when I know you will subvert it? But because once you try to steal an election seditiously, you must steal the next one to cover-up the last one. and then the next one after that ad infinitum. That is why it is absolutely mandatory for Bob Barr to expose and punish these crimes--to break the cycle.
When dictators rig elections, they don't really try to hide it. But Obama wanted the same power as the thugs he adores, but while hiding behind his Potemkin Curtain. He lacks their guts, but not their power-lust. He's all blow and no whistle.
And that makes him our worst president and a worse ex-president than Jimmy Carter, History's Formerly Greatest Monster.
Going Out of Their Ukrainiums--UPDATE:
They don't give a damn about Joe Biden. Here's why the Democrats have gone out of their mind:
Origins of Clinton-Tied Ukraine Dirt-Digging
It is significant, in this time of separate left and right media echo chambers, that an early account of Hillary Clinton campaign efforts to dig up dirt on Team Trump using Ukraine didn’t originate on the right: It was a Politico report by Kenneth P. Vogel and David Stern. (A repeat seems unlikely now: Vogel’s current employer, the New York Times, has dismissed Trump’s claims about Ukraine’s role in Russiagate as part of a right-wing conspiracy theory.)
