How It's Done

The Prophet Reagan

PresidentReaganDrivinghisCJ6-2"There is a threat posed to human freedom by the enormous power of the modern state. History teaches the dangers of government that overreaches -- political control taking precedence over free economic growth, secret police, mindless bureaucracy, all combining to stifle individual excellence and personal freedom. ...What I am describing now is a plan and a hope for the long term -- the march of freedom and democracy which will leave Marxism-Leninism on the ash-heap of history as it has left other tyrannies which stifle the freedom and muzzle the self-expression of the people."--Actual Pres. Ronald Reagan, Westminster Speech, 1982

“I believe that communism is another sad, bizarre chapter in human history whose last pages even now are being written. I believe this because the source of our strength in the quest for human freedom is not material, but spiritual. And because it knows no limitation, it must terrify and ultimately triumph over those who would enslave their fellow men.”

"Yes, let us pray for the salvation of all of those who live in that totalitarian darkness–pray they will discover the joy of knowing God. But until they do, let us be aware that while they preach the supremacy of the State, declare its omnipotence over individual man, and predict its eventual domination of all peoples on the earth, they are the focus of evil in the modern world."

The new Speaker Mike Johnson seems decent compromised. I don't get the fake-Kevin McCarthy- vibe off of him. We pray he rises to the calling on his life. Our country needs that.

We also hope and pray he'll reject the Endless War Agenda in Ukraine. Fail.

Beyond the cost, cutting off the Ukraine Grift would expose our Criminal Disneyland there. And save the lives of countless Ukrainians by forcing Cut-Rate Churchill back to the negotiating table.

Of course, we lied through our teeth about the last Peace Deal, so President Putin will rightly insist on “Trust–but Verify”. heh.

The corrupt swine who run this shit-show have managed to become the American Soviet Union, the New Evil Empire.

                                                                            .................
“I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him [that is, Christ]: ‘I’m ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don’t accept His claim to be God.’ That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic–on a level with the man who says he is a poached egg–or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse…. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come up with any patronising nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.”–C.S. Lewis in Mere Christianity

Real President Reagan echoes C.S. Lewis here:
"A young man whose father is a carpenter grows up working in his father’ shop. One day he puts down his tools and walks out of his father’s shop. He starts preaching on street corners and in the nearby countryside, walking from place to place, preaching all the while, even though he is not an ordained minister. He never gets farther than an area perhaps 100 miles wide at the most. He does this for three years. Then he is arrested, tried and convicted. There is no court of appeal, so he is executed at age 33 along with two common thieves. Those in charge of his execution roll dice to see who gets his clothing—the only possessions he has. His family cannot afford a burial place for him so he is interred in a borrowed tomb. End of story? No, this uneducated, property-less young man has, for 2,000 years, had a greater effect on the world than all the rulers, kings, emperors; all the conquerors, generals and admirals, all the scholars, scientists and philosophers who have ever lived—all of them put together. How do we explain that—unless He really was what He said He was?"--Ronald Reagan on the divinity of Christ (creation.com)
Rest in the Vine: Grace, Amazingly: President Ronald Reagan, Remarks at a Dallas Ecumenical Prayer Breakfast (Note: Like Donald J. Trump after him, Ronald Reagan was a non-installed President of the United States, duly re-elected in a 49-state landslide. For the record.)

The Axes of Good

"I know that for America there will always be a bright dawn ahead. Thank you, my friends. May God always bless you."
