"Last Night in South Dakota": The New York Times Goes Full-Goebbels, WaPo Goes Dark

To Our Self-Neutering News Media: Does Anybody Remember "Truthiness"?

"News, news, news, news..."
Here's the Times' new motto:

Daily Caller: "The New York Times has given precious space on its op-ed page to a Palestinian man leading a hunger strike in an Israeli prison. But the essay, from Marwan Barghouti, leaves out one crucial fact: he is in prison because he was convicted of killing five Israelis in terrorist attacks more than a decade ago. A footnote to the op-ed describes Barghouti only as “a Palestinian leader and parliamentarian,” omitting any reference to his 2004 terrorism conviction. ...
He was convicted in 2004 of orchestrating three separate terrorist attacks in Israel in 2001 and 2002. He was implicated in several other attacks, but was acquitted due to a lack of evidence.
Barghouti is reportedly the head of Tanzim, a military offshoot of Fatah, the party founded by Yasser Arafat. He is also reported to be one of the founders of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade, a militant group that operated during the Al-Aqsa Intifada, a Palestinian uprising against the Israeli government which left more than 4,000 Israelis and Palestinians dead between 2000 and 2005.".......

If you are going to let a New Holocaust advocate use your Editorial Page, maybe you should mention he's a terrorist killer. Especially when you heroically proclaim "The truth matters more now than ever".

Meanwhile, back at the Post, where "Democracy Dies in Darkness!"...

Ace of Spades: "Yesterday the Detroit News published a story about a woman who wears a hijab being arrested for performing female genital mutilation on two girls. Those girls' culture was not mentioned, but there's only one large culture that practices this butchery. Here's what the Washington Post has to say about it:

@clminakowski
"Democracy dies in darkness" Imagine that's your paper's motto then you publish this paragraph.".......

Ah--the Unbearable Irony of Self-Castration in a story about Forcible Castration.

This is the surgical removal of facts from their reporting, not to facilitate debate, but to stifle debate of real, live actual Inconvenient Truths. The Post is actually leaving its readers knowing less than when they began reading.

The Washington Post--Subtracting From the Sum of Human Knowledge!

The worst thing about this: It's a half-step to simply not reporting these crimes at all.
"The Washington Post: Democracy Yada, Yada, Yada."
Meanwhile, from the Tribal Badlands of Pakistan South Dakota, here's a story that neither paper is covering. Via Pam Geller:

Brannon Howse: "On Sunday night, April 9, 2017, we held our Worldview Weekend rally in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. ... Apparently an Islamic group in Sioux Falls held an event about 10 days before we arrived. The local paper reported that: 'Taneeza Islam, a local immigration lawyer and organizer for the local Muslim community, mentioned the upcoming talk during a panel on hate crimes Thursday at the downtown library in Sioux Falls. She cited speakers like Howse and Hadian as part of a prejudicial undercurrent that inspires fear among ethnic minorities nationwide.'
We were informed by the Sioux Falls Police Department that the Islamic Center of Sioux Falls South Dakota had filed for a permit to protest outside our Worldview Weekend rally. Joining me would be my friend, Shahram Hadian. Shahram is a former Muslim from Iran. One of our off duty police officers approached this man that was holding a Koran, filming our event and wearing a T-shirt that said he was a Muslim. The officer asked the man to stop filming as we had announced at the beginning of the conference that no audio or video recording would be permitted. Upon being approached, the man announced immediately that he was leaving. The officer asked him if he had a concealed weapon on his person to which he said he did. The man also told the officer he was live streaming on Facebook. When the officer asked his name he told the officer “John Smith, the Muslim John Smith.” The Muslim man then proceeded out to his car in the parking lot where he filmed two more Facebook live videos. He was clearly angry and discussed that Shahram and I were promoting books. He seemed very upset with the resources he saw on our resource tables. He then began showing the camera 3 pistols, two assault weapons, and what appeared to be an extended magazine. With the brandishing of each weapon to the camera he said “be afraid” or “be terrified.” In fact, he said “be terrified” twice. Now how is that not a terroristic threat? Please remember, he is in the parking lot of our Christian conference that is being attended by some 500 men, women and children. The attendees included a state representative and a state senator. ...
When I called the Sioux Falls Police Department to file a formal complaint and obtain a case number, I was discouraged from doing so. The officer informed me that the local prosecutor or state prosector was not going to charge this Muslim man with anything and he was not going to go over their head and file my complaint. I could hardly believe what I was hearing. I believe my civil right was being denied so as not to upset the political chain of command? It took over 24 hours before I was allowed to file a formal complaint that was taken by a higher ranking officer. ...Action Point: We have been told the Attorney General of South Dakota has seen the videos made by this Muslim man. Please call the Attorney General of South Dakota and ask him to charge this Muslim man with making a terroristic threat. Steve Haugaard, an attorney and State Representative has shown us the South Dakota law (See below) that he believes justifies such charges being brought.  Please call the office of the Attorney General and voice your concerns about this incident and the lack of legal action if you feel so led. Please be polite. The AG’s office number is number is (605) 773-3215.".......(Update: "Police chose not to charge the man with any crime. The state’s attorney says he’s still investigating but didn’t see anything criminal in nature on the videos.
The Muslim man, Ehab Jaber, a self-described former resident of Saudi Arabia who works as a server at a local steakhouse in Sioux Falls, was questioned by police and the FBI..."

Why is South Dakota law enforcement failing to enforce the law against threatening? Would they be so cavalier if this nut showed up at one of their events? Why do we need more gun laws if we won't even enforce these? And do we really want to "Let Them In!" as the airport mobs recently howled, if this is the result? And what good is an AWOL Press that hides the identities and actions of terrorists and extremists just when we need truth and light the most?

Democracy does indeed die in darkness. And truth does matter more now than ever. If only they believed their own mottos.

It seems like we only have two parties in America--and not Democrat and Republican. We have one that is acting like a Murder/Suicide Cult and one that wants to Live Life.

Weggies for Truth, Justice and the American Way: We'll do it without you, then.
