The Propitious Proclamation

Quote

I will never waver from my sacred duty to defend this Nation and its people. We will get the job done.
The argument against declaring a National Emergency because a Democrat might do it is pure bullshit.

The last Democrat president illegally

* declared a One-Man Nuclear Treaty with Iran
* decreed another One-Man Climate Treaty (by calling them by another name)
* unilaterally decided to suspend Immigration Law ("Deferred Action") and write his own.
* appropriated $7 billion for insurance companies
* used the IRS as a political weapon
* allowed his Sec/State to run a worldwide Bribery Empire out of the State Dept.
* perpetrated a criminal and seditious coup attempt on voters using the entire government as a weaponized arm of the DNC.

But we're supposed to worry they might misuse Emergency Declarations, too? Democrat, please.

By contrast, President Trump is using his lawful powers properly to defend the nation--indeed, the very concept of nationhood. Nor is it against the will of Congress as expressed in the Secure Fence Act of 2006.

ps: What if the President unilaterally suspended laws like Hussein did? He should withhold funding from Planned Parenthood--and call it "Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals".

“It would seem from the public Gazettes that the Minority in your State are preparing for another attack of the – now – adopted Government; how formidable it may be; I know not. But that Providence which has hitherto smiled on the honest endeavors of the well meaning part of the People of this Country will not, I trust, withdraw its support from them at this crisis."--George Washington, the Father of our Country, in defense of the Constitution, Sept. 7, 1788

"They gave the President of Iran more money than they gave the President of the United States of America?"

Office of the Press Secretary
DECLARING A NATIONAL EMERGENCY CONCERNING THE SOUTHERN BORDER OF THE UNITED STATES
– – – – – – –
BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
A PROCLAMATION
The current situation at the southern border presents a border security and humanitarian crisis that threatens core national security interests and constitutes a national emergency.  The southern border is a major entry point for criminals, gang members, and illicit narcotics.  The problem of large-scale unlawful migration through the southern border is long-standing, and despite the executive branch’s exercise of existing statutory authorities, the situation has worsened in certain respects in recent years.  In particular, recent years have seen sharp increases in the number of family units entering and seeking entry to the United States and an inability to provide detention space for many of these aliens while their removal proceedings are pending.  If not detained, such aliens are often released into the country and are often difficult to remove from the United States because they fail to appear for hearings, do not comply with orders of removal, or are otherwise difficult to locate.  In response to the directive in my April 4, 2018, memorandum and subsequent requests for support by the Secretary of Homeland Security, the Department of Defense has provided support and resources to the Department of Homeland Security at the southern border.  Because of the gravity of the current emergency situation, it is necessary for the Armed Forces to provide additional support to address the crisis.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, by the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including sections 201 and 301 of the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1601 et seq.), hereby declare that a national emergency exists at the southern border of the United States, and that section 12302 of title 10, United States Code, is invoked and made available, according to its terms, to the Secretaries of the military departments concerned, subject to the direction of the Secretary of Defense in the case of the Secretaries of the Army, Navy, and Air Force.  To provide additional authority to the Department of Defense to support the Federal Government’s response to the emergency at the southern border, I hereby declare that this emergency requires use of the Armed Forces and, in accordance with section 301 of the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1631), that the construction authority provided in section 2808 of title 10, United States Code, is invoked and made available, according to its terms, to the Secretary of Defense and, at the discretion of the Secretary of Defense, to the Secretaries of the military departments.  I hereby direct as follows:
Section 1.  The Secretary of Defense, or the Secretary of each relevant military department, as appropriate and consistent with applicable law, shall order as many units or members of the Ready Reserve to active duty as the Secretary concerned, in the Secretary’s discretion, determines to be appropriate to assist and support the activities of the Secretary of Homeland Security at the southern border.
Sec2.  The Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of the Interior, the Secretary of Homeland Security, and, subject to the discretion of the Secretary of Defense, the Secretaries of the military departments, shall take all appropriate actions, consistent with applicable law, to use or support the use of the authorities herein invoked, including, if necessary, the transfer and acceptance of jurisdiction over border lands.
Sec3.  This proclamation is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against the United States, its departments, agencies, or entities, its officers, employees, or agents, or any other person.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this fifteenth day of February, in the year of our Lord two thousand nineteen, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-third.
DONALD J. TRUMP

I would have preferred that the President demanded the removal of the poison pills in the budget bill, but understand why he did what he did. I am not going to second-guess the only president since Reagan who has fought for me and mine.

Since President Reagan left office, there have been countless pretenders wishing to claim the mantle of Reagan while doing the absolute minimum to deserve it. This town is chock-full of fakers who are at best conserva-tish--having sold out long ago to global corporations, or to careerism or who are in fact crypto-leftists themselves.

Democrats, who have been anti-American since Vietnam, have moved on; they are now post-American. The only time they get excited is about foreigners. They have little use for actual Americans. They want to dissolve ICE, dissolve citizenship, dissolve borders and dissolve the People, and elect themselves a new one. One that will in turn elect them permanently and forever, under the Swamp's Complete Theft of Every Election in America.

This was never going to be easy. The rot has gone too deep for too long. They came so close with their Jezebel, they thought their coup against George Washington's Peaceful Transfer of Power was a done deal. That's why they're so desperate. Their false god is dying before their eyes.

By his honest patriotism, communications skilz and his defense of American traditions, President Trump has inherited President Reagan's mantle without even trying. Let's help this man.
"...140 characters, you say?"
                                                                "Yes, Mr. President."
"If it keeps you close to the American people, Donald, I'm all for it."
                                                             "Thank you, Mr. President."
                                                                       "No--thank you, Mr. President."

BREAKING: Photos Show Virginia's Tim Kaine Doing Mohammed Impersonation, Northam Meeting with Reagan...Developing...

"I'm a eighth or ninth or tenth or something cousin removed from Jefferson Davis."--Barack Beauregard Hussein, campaigning for Ralph Northam in 2017
"They thought they had our brave boys cornered at Shenendoah, but General Lee outflanked those
Yankee bastards!"
Gov. Coonman is using make-up again. This time, for his for Clown Show impersonation of a real government.

Coonman is going to watch all the episodes of "Roots", including the sequels, and spend taxpayer money on black people because he did a Michael Jackson impersonation 35 years ago? And that's all he'll admit to.

That's not how government is supposed to work. If something is a good program, you propose it. You don't just suddenly lavish other peoples' money on an ethnic group just to save your own career from a bad impersonation.

At least, we hope so, because here's Tim Kaine impersonating old Moh, and we certainly don't want Senator Kaine to start funding the Muslim Brotherhood. Again.

"Oh, this? It's just a little something I like to wear around the office five times a day."
Here, young dance champion Ralph Northam meets with President Reagan in better days:

Hold My Beer: Despite his claims today, this photo proves Northam is indeed right-handed!

Great Again: President Trump Delivers

A Survey With America's Most Elegant Former Political Prisoner Conrad Black

"Lord Black's career as a publisher ended with a multi-count conviction in US federal court in the Northern District of Illinois for a "corporate governance" "crime" that none of his enemies can even explain.

He was imprisoned, and, either because he's Canadian or a member of the House of Lords, was deemed ineligible for minimum-security and incarcerated among a rough crowd in Florida to whom, when I visited him, he seemed to endear himself. (In prison he taught American history classes, as remedial education for the deficiencies of American public schools.) I found it amazing that he was not only surviving but thriving. Beyond his cell, he fought his conviction, up past a somnolent appeal judge, the overrated and arrogant Richard Posner who (as was all too apparent in court) hadn't even read the briefs, and all the way to the Supreme Court,. Two years into his sentence everything was tossed out except one count.

Whereupon the original trial judge, Amy St Eve, notwithstanding what had happened on her watch, sent him back to gaol.

So Conrad Black was the victim of a grotesque miscarriage by America's hideous and corrupt federal justice system - which urgently needs (as we see from, inter alia, the military force dispatched to take down Roger Stone) the kind of top-to-toe overhaul no one apparently is willing to give it.

Meanwhile, back in Canada, Lord Black, if no longer The National Post's proprietor, has been reborn as a columnist in the newspaper he founded."...….

See also "I Stand Before The Court". Like Mr. Libby and Mr. D'Souza, Justice would be a full pardon for Lord Black, Mr. President.

Today, the Zen Dad of Prisoners Conrad Black takes a World Tour:

American Might Makes Its Return In Trump Era

"Almost indiscernible in the endless tumult about President Donald Trump is the objective return of American might, right on our doorstep. A casual sampler of the Canadian, and even the American, press, might think that the United States was so far along in its decline that the entire process of government and normal public discourse had broken down in that country, and that the much-discussed process of national decline was accelerating in a climate of virtual chaos.
In fact, the economy of the United States is astoundingly strong: full employment, an expanding workforce, negligible inflation and about 3% economic growth. And it is a broad economic recovery, not based on service industries as in the United Kingdom (where London handles most of Europe’s financial industry, while most of British industry has fled), and not based largely on the fluctuating resources markets as has often been Canada’s experience.
In the eight years of President Obama, the United States lost 219,000 manufacturing jobs; in the two years of Trump, the country has added 477,000 manufacturing jobs. This was not supposed to be possible, and this time, unlike in the great Reagan boom, it cannot be dismissed by the left (and it was false in the eighties) as a profusion of “hamburger flippers, dry cleaners and people delivering pizza,” (all necessary occupations). …
Through it all, the United States, appearing to be disorderly, its establishment and press at war with the occupant of the White House, is demonstrating almost effortlessly how illusory is the idea that any other country or group of countries can challenge its pre-eminence among the world’s nations.

Canadians may not like it; the world may try to pretend otherwise, but however the domestic political tides of America may flow, North Korea is on its best behaviour, the ayatollahs are quaking in their voluminous raiment, and all America’s trade partners, including Canada and China, are accepting what amounts to unilateral renegotiation by the U.S. No other country in the world has any appreciable influence at all more than a few hundred miles from its borders (an area that includes 95% of the population of Canada)."...….

Conservative Treehouse explains the premise:
"President Trump has reversed 30-years of trade and economic policy that was specifically structured to favor multinational corporations and multinational banks within Wall Street.

MAGAnomics puts the focus, the primary economic activity, back into Main Street corporations and smaller U.S. banks and credit unions.  Real business growth happens at a street level, business-by-business, job-by-job, company-by-company.  The paper economy, the investment class, follows the path of greatest return… that brings investment back to Main Street.  Again, that’s our now; that’s what is happening around us. …
One of the reasons the professional political class hate Trump is simply because he applies common sense policy built upon the cornerstone of America-first. Decades of pontificating political economic policy are dispatched; and the American economic engine roars.
Lower tax rates, smart regulation, expanded U.S. investment opportunity, and larger Main Street economic growth is the policy assembly behind MAGAnomics…. and guess what, it’s working."
It sure is. 300,000-plus new jobs in January alone. Wages up. S&P up. Dow up. Inflation down. Markets opened. China tamed. Korea defused. ISIS vanquished. The list goes on.

CTH again on the numbers:

  • In January, employment in leisure and hospitality rose by 74,000.
  • Construction employment rose by 52,000 in January
  • Employment in health care increased by 42,000 in January.
  • Over the month, employment in transportation and warehousing rose by 27,000.
  • In January, retail trade employment edged up by 21,000.
  • Mining employment increased by 7,000 in January.
  • Employment in professional and business services continued to trend up over the month (+30,000) and has increased by 546,000 in the past 12 months.
  • Employment in manufacturing continued to trend up in January (+13,000).
    (Source BLS Data)"...….
I shudder when I think of what this president could accomplish if the Uni-Party were working with  him for America instead of against us. But then, they wouldn't be the Uni-Party.
Magnificent work, sir. Stunning, really. They said it couldn't be done. Literally, they said it. They were wrong. You were right.

We're with you all the way. You've earned it.

Shake: It's the Latest Thing

"This fight is not only about getting rid of Ralph Northam, but reversing the leftist onslaught that has been destroying the Virginia of Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, Mason and Patrick Henry. Let’s Make Virginia Great Again!" --E.W. Jackson, Minister, Marine, Harvard Law

Big League Politics
has the video of Gov. Coonman absolutely refusing to shake hands with Republican candidate E.W. Jackson on live tv at the end of their debate:

“It was insulting, but, on the other hand, I thought it was consistent with the way he behaves. Because, this [commercial] he’s been running, saying that I believe that a child born with birth defects is born that way because of their parents’ sin is just a damnable, palpable, despicable lie. I don’t believe that. I never said anything like that. And it’s that kind of dishonesty that, to me, says this is not the kind of person that needs to be holding state-wide office. Not shaking my hand really just confirmed that.”

More from Pastor Jackson:
There is a broader point in this Ralph Northam revelation. This is what the left really thinks of the black people upon whom they depend for votes to stay in power. They don’t view black people as individuals capable of independent thought, action and achievement. They see us as a nameless, faceless, collective of “useful idiots” to serve their political purposes. That’s why they have no problem with the racist disproportionate number of black aborted babies. The reason why so many Dems are abandoning Northam is they must show their racial authenticity lest they lose the most important base in their coalition. That’s what it’s all about. I released a video yesterday before all this came out which proves to be prophetic. It’s time for black voters to abandon these racist, hypocritical Democrats and start voting for people who actually care about them having opportunity to be gainfully employed, educate their children, start businesses and live in safe communities. Dems could care less. Don’t take my word for it. Look at their track record. Abysmal! I’ve dubbed February - Black History Month - “Coming Out Month” for the black community to come out of the Democrat Party. That video is here on my Facebook page. Check it out. #ralphnorthamresign

O Sez: "If you do it, do it right--Just Shake!"

"By the Babe Unborn" by G.K. Chesterton

If trees were tall and grasses short,
As in some crazy tale,
If here and there a sea were blue
Beyond the breaking pale,

If a fixed fire hung in the air
To warm me one day through,
If deep green hair grew on great hills,
I know what I should do.

In dark I lie; dreaming that there
Are great eyes cold or kind,
And twisted streets and silent doors,
And living men behind.

Let storm clouds come: better an hour,
And leave to weep and fight,
Than all the ages I have ruled
The empires of the night.

I think that if they gave me leave
Within the world to stand,
I would be good through all the day
I spent in fairyland.

They should not hear a word from me
Of selfishness or scorn,
If only I could find the door,
If only I were born.
