Freedom For Hong Kong

"I believe that communism is another sad, bizarre chapter in human history whose last pages even now are being written. I believe this because the source of our strength in the quest for human freedom is not material, but spiritual. And because it knows no limitation, it must terrify and ultimately triumph over those who would enslave their fellow men."--Ronald Reagan

"Hong Kong protesters joined hands on Friday and formed a 28-mile-long human chain linking 39 railroad stations, with an American flag raised at the center.

The demonstration was nicknamed, “The Hong Kong Way,” a homage to the 370-mile “Baltic Way” human chain formed exactly 30 years ago by about two million people in Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia to demand liberation from the Soviet Union.
Organizers described the Hong Kong human chain as “a show of solidarity” and “a plea for international support.” Many participants held placards thanking passersby for supporting their quest for “freedom and democracy.” Some expressed a desire to counter the Chinese Communist Party’s claims that the protesters are violent thugs or agents of chaos working for hostile foreign powers.
The human chain was described by demonstrators as a commitment to peaceful expression with numerous families and children involved but also as a gesture of defiance to Beijing and the Hong Kong administration of chief executive Carrie Lam. A potentially much more contentious demonstration at the international airport is planned for the weekend." …….

Of course the Stars and Stripes was at the center. No other banner would do--and certainly not the red banner of the Occupying Power in Beijing.

The hope was that when Hong Kong reverted to China some two decades ago, that Hong Kong would "take over" China, not that China would take over Hong Kong.

Alas, that was thwarted by the Communist Party there...and the Uni-Party here. Our "Elites" completely sold out to China, sometimes literally as in the case of the Clintons selling Loral Space technology so the Chinese could aim ICBMs at America.

Our Best and Brightest were very happy with their parasite/host relationship with their Communist partners in Beijing. They sold out the American people for their own greed and power while helping the Commies suppress their own people and get rich also; Win/Win!

Until Donald Trump:

“Somebody had to take on what China was doing to the United States economically. We’re winning big. I took it on. And it should have been done by previous Presidents, but I took it on. And I’m happy to do it because it had to be done.”

And not one other candidate, either in the last election or this one, had the guts, the vision and the love for the American people to do it.

Not one single one.

That’s greatness.
And it is bringing the dictators to their end, while the people of Hong Kong stand up for their own freedom. That's greatness, too.

"The totalitarian world produces backwardness because it does such violence to the spirit, thwarting the human impulse to create, to enjoy, to worship. The totalitarian world finds even symbols of love and of worship an affront. ...The years ahead will be great ones for our country, for the cause of freedom and the spread of civilization. The West will not contain Communism it will transcend Communism."--Ronald Reagan
