Green Berets, Sailors Paid Taxes to Fund Their Attackers--Thanks, Barky!

"This strategy of taking out terrorists who threaten us, while supporting partners on the front lines, is one that we have successfully pursued in Yemen and Somalia for years."--The Successfully Successful Success

Chicago Tribune:

"A graduate of Larkin High School in Elgin was killed after being hit by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan while on patrol with Afghan forces in a province bordering Pakistan, Pentagon and local school officials said.

Larkin High School teachers, administrators and students honored the memory of Staff Sgt. Adam S. Thomas, a Class of 2003 graduate, according to a release from School District U46.

A moment of silence was held at the high school's homecoming game Friday.

"Adam Thomas is remembered fondly among the Larkin community and I know that the Royals will keep his memory alive," Larkin High School Principal Jon Tuin said Friday.

According to his Army biography, Thomas joined the Army in April 2008. He had deployments in Iraq from December 2008 to November 2009 and in Afghanistan from May 2011 to February 2012, and he returned to Afghanistan in June 2016.

He received several awards, including the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the Army Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.".......

I wonder if John Kerry has apologized to the Iranians yet for getting in the path of their IED?

Or for this:

Atlas Shrugs: "Iran continues to flout international law especially even after Obama released billions of dollars in sanctions relief, aid and ranson as part of his Iranian surrender pact packaged as some wonderful historic breakthrough. Wasn’t Iran supposed to be America’s new bestie now?

So why are Iranian-backed Houthi rebels firing at one of the U.S. Navy’s destroyers, sailing off the coast of Yemen? It’s a puzzler, all right.
From Fox News:
“Iranian-backed Houthi rebels fired two missiles at a U.S. Navy destroyer operating off the coast of Yemen in the Red Sea on Sunday — though neither missile hit the ship, the Pentagon said in a statement.
“Though the American warship wasn’t struck, the ship was definitely targeted, a U.S. defense official told Fox News. This dramatic escalation comes a week after the U.S. Navy sent warships to the area when a United Arab Emirates flagged auxiliary ship was destroyed off the coast of Yemen by the Houthis.” “‘In the first instance USS Mason employed onboard defensive measures..."
“U.S. officials have long accused Iran of supplying missiles and other weapons to the Houthis.”......
There's a typo in that last sentence. It should read:

"US officials fail to accuse themselves after suppling Iran with billions of taxpayer dollars to buy missiles for the Houthis.”

The first ship in the US Navy with a predominantly black crew.

Good job to the crew of the USS Mason, dodging the Iranian missiles you had to help purchase.
It's too bad you're under attack from Washington as well as Tehran.
