Poll Any Czech! Check Any Pole!: Ledecka Wins!

Message to NBC: Just Like Election Night, Don't Assume!

World Champion Snowboarder Ester Ledecka of the Czech Republic is now a World Champion skier as well.

After American Lindsey Vonn fouled out, NBC anointed Austria's Anna Veith the Super-G winner and cut away to men's figure skating--it figures.

That's when 19th-placed Ledecka came in .01 seconds ahead of everyone, on skis borrowed from American Gold Medalist Mikaela Shiffrin, who did not compete.

“I really don’t know what happened. You tell me … I was riding. I really don’t know what happened. It was great!”

Olympic Women's Super-G Medalists
Austrian Anna Veith -Silver, Czech Ester Ledecka -Gold and Liechtensteinian Tina Weirather -Bronze

Congratulations to all our European friends!
