"The Book of Enoch: Paraphrase and Commentary" by Johnny Enlow

Jude 1
13 They are like wild waves of the sea, with their shameful deeds showing up like foam. They are like wandering stars, for whom God has reserved a place forever in the deepest darkness.

14 It was Enoch, the seventh[a] direct descendant from Adam, who long ago prophesied this about them: “The Lord will come with many thousands of his holy angels 15 to bring judgment on all, to condemn them all for the godless deeds they have performed and for all the terrible words that godless sinners have spoken against him!”

"What if one of the most controversial ancient texts in Biblical history holds a missing key to understanding God’s plan, and your role in it?

Long dismissed as apocryphal, the Book of Enoch has haunted the edges of Scripture for centuries. Quoted directly in the New Testament, revered by early believers, and feared by later theologians, Enoch describes a cosmic worldview of angelic rebellion, spiritual warfare, divine judgment, and heavenly order that modern faith has often learned to overlook.

Written thousands of years ago, Enoch’s visions speak with striking relevance to our generation today. The darkness he described is not distant history: it echoes in the spiritual conflicts, cultural corruption, and fear-driven narratives we are facing now.

In
The Book of Enoch: Paraphrase and Commentary, bestselling author and visionary prophetic leader, Johnny Enlow, brings this enigmatic text out of the shadows and into sharp, accessible focus. Through a clear, modern paraphrase of Enoch’s writings paired with insightful commentary, Enlow invites readers to engage with The Book of Enoch as a powerful lens for interpreting the Bible itself.

Inside, You’ll Discover:
  • The shocking account of the Watcher angels and the origins of spiritual rebellion and evil itself
  • Prophetic visions of the Son of Man, divine justice, and the ultimate triumph of righteousness
  • Heaven’s architecture, sacred time, and God’s authority over creation
  • Symbolic dreams revealing human history, from creation through final judgment
  • Warnings, instruction, and hope, calling the righteous to have faith in God’s restoration
  • How Enoch illuminates passages in Genesis, Daniel, the Gospels, and the New Testament epistles, most notably the book of Jude
  • A framework for engaging ancient revelation with humility, courage and clarity
Rather than promoting doom-driven eschatology or speculative theology, Enlow presents a victorious, Kingdom-centered worldview that calls believers out of passive faith and into active partnership with God. Enoch’s message aligns with a mandate to advance the Kingdom of Heaven into every sphere of society, including the Seven Mountains of culture.

Written for students of biblical prophecy, readers of ancient apocalyptic texts, and believers hungry for spiritual awakening,
The Book of Enoch: Paraphrase and Commentary confronts modern skepticism while equipping readers with discernment, confidence, and spiritual authority.

This book will transform the way you read the Bible, and challenge, inspire, and equip you to live with purpose in God’s Kingdom today." .......
Genesis 5:22

Enoch walked [in habitual fellowship] with God three hundred years after the birth of Methuselah and had other sons and daughters.

I highly recommend clicking the "read sample" button at Amazon and start with the contents. The Chapter Titles themselves clearly lay out the Enoch Narrative. The preface and introduction, also brief, lay out the history and context.

It explains how Enoch was found with Isaiah in the Dead Sea Scrolls, And how it has always been in the the Bible--the Ethiopian Bible.

What if the enemy tried to hide the Victorious Narrative of Enoch, but God used that to hide it until this time when we needed it the most? And used a lowly African Bible to confound the high and mighty?

The intro also explains how Jesus Himself referred to the Book of Enoch as scripture.

That's enough for me.

But you should read it for yourself.

1 Enoch 104 10-13:
10 Now I know this mystery, that sinners will alter and pervert the words of righteousness in many ways, and will speak wicked words, and lie, and practice great deceits, and write books concerning their words.
11 When they write down all my words truthfully in their languages, and do not change or omit any of my words but write them down truthfully--all that I first testified concerning them.
12 Then I know another mystery, that books will be given to the righteous and the wise to produce joy, righteousness and much wisdom.
13 To them, the books will be given, and they will believe them and rejoice over them; Then will all the righteous who have learned from the paths of uprightness be recompensed.
The Lord wants us to have and know this scripture, Hallelujah!
Good is the Word of the Lord!
