"What ultimately ended the nihilist Soviet system?

Was it not that Russians finally tired of the Kremlin’s lies and hypocrisies that permeated every facet of their falsified lives?

Here are 10 symptoms of Sovietism. Ask yourself whether we are headed down this same road to perdition.

1. There was no escape from ideological indoctrination — anywhere. A job in the bureaucracy or a military assignment hinged not so much on merit, expertise or past achievement. What mattered was loud enthusiasm for the Soviet system.

Wokeness is becoming our new Soviet-like state religion. Careerists assert that America was always and still is a systemically racist country, without ever producing proof or a sustained argument.

2. The Soviets fused their press with the government. Pravda, or “Truth,” was the official megaphone of state-sanctioned lies. Journalists simply regurgitated the talking points of their Communist Party partners.

In 2017, a Harvard study found that over 90% of the major TV news networks’ coverage of the Trump administration’s first 100 days was negative.

3. The Soviet surveillance state enlisted apparatchiks and lackeys to ferret out ideological dissidents.

Recently, we learned that the Department of Defense is reviewing its rosters to spot extremist sentiments. The U.S. Postal Service recently admitted it uses tracking programs to monitor the social media postings of Americans.

CNN recently alleged that the Biden administration’s Department of Homeland Security is considering partnering with private surveillance firms to get around government prohibitions on scrutinizing Americans’ online activity.

4. The Soviet educational system sought not to enlighten but to indoctrinate young minds in proper government-approved thought.

Currently, cash-strapped universities nationwide are hiring thousands of diversity, equity and inclusion staffers and administrators. Their chief task is to scan the admissions, hiring, curriculum and administration at universities. Like good commissars, our diversity czars oversee compliance with the official narrative that a flawed America must confess, apologize for and renounce its evil foundations.

5. The Soviet Union was run by a pampered elite, exempt from the ramifications of their own radical ideologies.

Now, woke Silicon Valley billionaires talk socialistically but live royally. Coke and Delta Airlines CEOs who hector Americans about their illiberality make millions of dollars a year.

What unites current woke activists such as Oprah Winfrey, LeBron James Mark Zuckerberg and the Obamas are their huge estates and their multimillion-dollar wealth. Just as the select few of the old Soviet nomenklatura had their Black Sea dachas, America’s loudest top-down revolutionaries prefer living in Martha’s Vineyard, Beverly Hills, Montecito and Malibu.

6. The Soviets mastered Trotskyization, or the rewriting and airbrushing away of history to fabricate present reality.

Are Americans any different when they indulge in a frenzy of name-changing, statue-toppling, monument-defacing, book-banning and cancel-culturing?

7. The Soviets created a climate of fear and rewarded stool pigeons for rooting out all potential enemies of the people.

Since when did Americans encourage co-workers to turn in others for an ill-considered word in a private conversation? Why do thousands now scour the internet to find any past incorrect expression of a rival? Why are there now new thought criminals supposedly guilty of climate racism, immigration racism or vaccination racism?

8. Soviet prosecutors and courts were weaponized according to ideology.

In America, where and for what reason you riot determines whether you face any legal consequences. Politically correct sanctuary cities defy the law with impunity. Jury members are terrified of being doxxed and hunted down for an incorrect verdict. The CIA and FBI are becoming as ideological as the old KGB.

9. The Soviets doled out prizes on the basis of correct Soviet thought.

In modern America, the Pulitzer Prizes and the Emmys, Grammys, Tonys and Oscars don’t necessarily reflect the year’s best work, but often the most politically correct work from the most woke.

10. The Soviets offered no apologies for extinguishing freedom. Instead, they boasted that they were advocates for equity, champions of the underclass, enemies of privilege — and therefore could terminate anyone or anything they pleased.

Our wokeists are similarly defending their thought-control efforts, forced reeducation sessions, scripted confessionals, mandatory apologies, Trotskyization of our past, and cancel culture on the pretense that we need long overdue “fundamental transformation.”

So if they destroy people in the name of equity, then their nihilism is justified.

And The Pursuit of Unhappiness

In life, there are sometimes singular moments that define the zeitgeist and encapsulate an age. 

These Perfect Metaphors were captured by the Venerated Poets of Old; Aristophanes, Virgil, Ovid, Homer and Ronnie Milsap, who famously sang:

Once in every life

Someone comes along

And you came to me

It was almost like a song

January through December

We had such a perfect year

Then the flame became a dying ember

All at once you weren't here

So poetically fitting that our era's Perfect Metaphor just occurred in Homer, Alaska, because, all at once, the Huepers' copy of the Declaration of Independence wasn't here. 

Gone. Confiscated by the FBI.

You probably know the story. The Huepers, like a million and a half other majority voters, went to Washington, D.C. to ask our Corrupt Political Class why they were stealing our right to choose our own leaders in Honest Elections. 

In response, the Corrupt Political class promptly staged a Reichstag Riot, installed their Putsch Puppet and designated the majority of American voters as "domestic terrorists". You know--the Way the Framers Intended(tm).

Because Mrs. Hueper bore a superficial resemblance to a woman they suspected of taking Nanzi Pelosi's laptop, the Feds kicked in their door, ransacked their properties, cuffed and coerced them.

It wasn’t a case of mistaken identity–they knew it wasn’t her. They just wanted to bully and intimidate Americans. They finally left–but not before seizing the couples’ copy of the Declaration of Independence.  

Which is weird, because they already have the original in the National Archives. Not that they're doing anything with it.

There were no secret blueprints or seditious plots scribbled in the margins of the Huebers' copy. No, the defining words of our nation's founding document themselves are now considered seditious to the Occupation Government and the new One-Party State they are building.

Person of Interest Jefferson has come in for a particularly hard time recently. His statues are under threat by the Democrat Paramilitary mobs, ostensibly because he owned slaves. But I think it's because the mobs wish to own slaves themselves. Namely, us.

"All men are created equal," Jefferson wrote. That phrase stands in the way of these new would-be Slave Owners. Nor can you steal elections from equals. Clearly, like pledging lives, fortunes and sacred honor, the man's writings are a threat.

As are all the Founders' writings. There is no good place to stop the suspicion, suppression and censorship once you've declared yourself against the Declaration.

For example, George Washington's Address to the troops before the Battle of Long Island, August 27, 1776: “The time is now near at hand which must probably determine whether Americans are to be freemen or slaves; whether they are to have any property they can call their own; whether their houses and farms are to be pillaged and destroyed, and themselves consigned to a state of wretchedness from which no human efforts will deliver them. The fate of unborn millions will now depend, under God, on the courage and conduct of this army. Our cruel and unrelenting enemy leaves us only the choice of brave resistance, or the most abject submission. We have, therefore, to resolve to conquer or die.”

Or Jefferson himself: "All eyes are opened, or opening, to the rights of man. The general spread of the light of science has already laid open to every view. The palpable truth, that the mass of mankind has not been born with saddles on their backs, nor a favored few booted and spurred, ready to ride them legitimately, by the grace of God."-- his last letter, to Roger C. Weightman, 1826

Or anything that ever fell out of Sam Adam's mouth: "It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer the liberties of our country to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men.”--Boston Gazette, October 14, 1771

"Broadway Al" Hamilton's Federalist Papers: "The fabric of American empire ought to rest on the solid basis of THE CONSENT OF THE PEOPLE. The streams of national power ought to flow from that pure, original fountain of all legitimate authority."

The Revolution has come full circle; the Ruling Junta now views the Founding Fathers exactly like King George did. 

And beyond the Founders to Lincoln's First Inaugural: "This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing Government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it, or their revolutionary right to dismember or overthrow it."

And Frederick Douglass' #Resistance: "Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them, and these will continue till they are resisted with either words or blows, or with both.

Sen. Henry Cabot Lodge on the League of Nations: "...an American I was born, an American I have remained all my life. I can never be anything else but an American, and I must think of the United States first..."

To Harry S. Truman: "Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear."

Or that wild-eyed radical, Ike: "In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist." 

And Jack Kennedy: “Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.”

To President Reagans First Inaugural: "We are a nation that has a government--not the other way around. And this makes us special among the nations of the Earth. Our government has no power except that granted it by the people. It is time to check and reverse the growth of government which shows signs of having grown beyond the consent of the governed."

Even dull-witted Quantico graduates (“‘Q’ is for Quantico!”) realize the Founders and Framers of America are their enemies. All these American statesmen are subversive to this Regime's grip on illegitimate power. Their very lives stand as a rebuke to the Uni-Party Syndicate and their Constitutional Crime Wave.

Plainly put, they fear a revolution. Or, more precisely, a counter counter-revolution, since they have already overthrown the Founders' Revolution. That's why "the Spirit of '76" chills them to their bones.

As truth becomes more fictional by the moment, and make-believe daily becomes truthier and truthier, they will eventually have to ban fiction authors, too, such as Orwell, Heinlein and Bradbury. Even Ian Fleming's James Bond would sometimes work with the Russians against the shadowy cabal of politicians and greedy globalists of S.P.E.C.T.R.E., as portrayed in the seminal Fleming masterpiece, "The Spy Who Revised and Extended Me". 

James Spader's Raymond Redington can't be far behind. Who, as fate would have it, bears a passing resemblance to Ronnie Milsap. Wheels within wheels, people.

Even now, the Department Against Justice is trying to subvert an honest audit of a dishonest election in Maricopa County. In the name of "Voting Rights", of course

Just like Pedo the Pedaler being unable to stop himself around children or Reichstag Nanzi elbowing children out of her way for a photo-op, the seizure of the Huepers’ Declaration by a rogue FBI was yet another Perfect Metaphor for Our Time.

The Huepers’ real crime? They believed it. They still believe in the Declaration which our Garbage Political Class has abandoned.

The Concertina Government will maintain the Jefferson Memorial. It will conduct guided tours of Monticello. It will preserve the original Declaration of Independence in a special climate-controlled glass case, designed to keep it forever pristine. 

It will do everything--but honor it.

Which, in the final analysis, is the only thing that really matters.

...and they know it, too.

"One of the great schisms in conservatism and GOP politics - a key difference between passive and active conservatism, peacetime vs. wartime - is whether or not the Left is credited with having good intentions. The Left, of course, never reciprocates this concession.

Unfortunately, the Left is dedicated to attacking the very moral and philosophical pillars of the American republic and Western civilization, and they utterly dominate culture and academia, so conceding good intentions is a zero-sum game.

This is why so many GOP politicians and conservative pundits are of little use in pitched political battle, or eagerly turn against other conservatives. Having conceded the good intentions of the Left, they have also tacitly agreed to question the intentions of their own side.

Some of the more absurd pronouncements of NeverTrump types over the past few years can be viewed in this light. They made their peace with left-wing radicalism and do what they can to apologize for it. They internalize the Left's critique of less pliable conservatives.

Some of this is cynical self-interest, a desire to keep booking options open in Left-dominated media, to remain marketable as a "acceptable conservative" who politely critiques the dominant left-wing ideology without seriously threatening it.

Some of this is cultural, a consequence of living in the Beltway, coastal media hubs, or academic strongholds and inheriting their assumptions about the Deplorables out in flyover country. Some is personal, as friendships are made with influential left-wingers.

Whatever the reasons, it all boils down to that fundamental concession that the Left means well, that its civilization-destroying agenda is somehow justified or understandable, that its policy ideas might be a little wrong-headed but its heart is in the right place.

That wouldn't be so bad if the sentiment was reciprocated - but it most certainly is not. Not even a little. The Left institutionally believes that all conservative ideas, all resistance to the progressive agenda, is evil. They routinely question the humanity of opponents.

That's why the Left is fluent at using populism, while the Right was bullied and intimidated into disdaining it. The Left speaks with the utter conviction of a perpetual moral crusade, treating politics like a religion. Its enemies are devils and sinners, dissent is sacrilege.

The Left wins by any means necessary and uses compulsive force to shape politics. If they lose a battle, it's because evil forces lied and cheated, and it's only a temporary setback. You can't maintain that worldview while conceding your opponents are good people who mean well.

Passive conservatives accept the Left's moral framework, abandoning the most important momentum-shifting battles as irrevocably lost, and focus on a few policy quibbles that can be debated without challenging the Left's core premises.

They speak of wanting what the Left wants, but having different ideas about the best way to get there. They are fluent in the language of the Left and accept its judgments about which people, ideas, and tactics are out of bounds for the Right. They see no hills worth dying on.

Having conceded righteousness to the Left, they can imagine no righteous conservative crusade, no uncompromising conservative position, nothing that would shift the momentum of politics away from its perpetual swing to the Left. Everything the Right holds is negotiable.

"Standing athwart history and yelling stop" meant something very different at the beginning of that history. Decades on, it means yelling stop instead of DOING anything that would stop it. The difference between argument and action is belief in your own intentions.".......

Islamists told Spain that once a country was Islam’s, it is their property forever.
King George told the colonists they were property of the Crown, a permanent posession of Empire. .
The Democrat Slave Power told Dred Scott once a slave, he was a slave forever.
And Communists told conquered nations that they would never be permitted to leave the Radiant Future that never quite arrives.

Their motto: “What’s ours is ours, and what’s yours is negotiable.”

"What are hundreds of America’s biggest corporations doing as they browbeat the public to abolish the requirement of identification for voting? What are Twitter, Facebook, et al. doing when they prohibit people from sharing facts that are inconvenient to government policy or (and) the Democratic Party? What did banks do when they turned over to the FBI the records of persons who happened to have traveled to D.C. near January 6? And what about all those big retail stores—you know, the ones that the government designated “essential,” the ones that thrived under the lockdowns—what are they doing when they continue to demand that you wear masks on their property regardless of vaccination? What are colleges and universities, even K-12 schools doing when they deprive of opportunities young people who do not fit woke profiles? And what do all of them do when they dismiss complaints that they are violating your Constitutional rights by telling you that they are exercising their own private rights?

Are they simply fronting for the government or, specifically, for the Democratic Party?

What is the Biden Administration doing when it swears disinterest in “vaccine passports” to regulate ordinary people’s access to travel, careers, etc. but works with airlines, theaters, big retailers, and universities to help them impose such passports? Is the government—in practice, the political party that controls the government—fronting for corporations, or do the corporations front for the Party? Do the drug companies influence what the Centers for Disease Control “recommends” regarding pandemic restrictions? Do they influence the Democratic Party, or is it the other way around? Who runs whom?

Understanding what is happening in America begins with dismissing such silly questions. Focus, instead, on the fact that those who rule us in all these matters are essentially the same people. They are interchangeable, with near-identical interests, loves, hates, and tastes. Often, they are friends and colleagues, and are united about coercing whomever is not on their own sociopolitical side. Whether the institutions they control are public or private under our Constitutional system has ceased to matter. These persons are responsible for the sharp diminution in all manner of freedoms we have experienced since at least 2016, and especially since 2020.

What’s an Oligarchy?

Aristotle noticed that governments are run either by one person, by a few, or by the many, and that regardless of how many people rule, they do so either for the general interest or for their own. The American republic was founded in 1776-89 by the people at large, to serve the general interest by mixing the power of sheer numbers with that of states, and with that of a unitary presidency. But over the last century, the increasingly homogeneous set of people who run the republic’s institutions took power out of the hands of the people’s elected representatives pretty much at all levels, and have governed in their own interest rather than in the general population’s. Nobody voted for this, on any level.

On the contrary: the exercise of coercive powers by and for self-selected elites who claim to know better and who validate one another is the very negation of the constitutional republic within which Americans have lived since 1776. It is oligarchy.

In 21st century America, this oligarchy erased the distinction between public and private powers, and replaced it with the distinction between those who are and are not part of the ruling class. The privatization of public power is oligarchy’s essence. Because government is by the ruling class few, and is for that class’s interest, the oligarchs can wield the coercive powers of government without legal limits, as if they were dealing with their own private affairs.

Those who live under oligarchies are not citizens—because oligarchy validates itself, decides for itself, within itself, and because it is committed above all to negating the people’s capacity to rule itself.

Conservative Confusion

Americans struggle to understand what is happening because we still regard ourselves as citizens, and imagine that those who run our republican institutions still respect them to some extent. We see persons whom the ruling class favors committing crimes with impunity, and complain of “a two-tiered justice system.” But this is not mere corruption. We see corporations wielding government powers and complain that power is being franchised to favorites. But these are not mere favorites of the regime. This is the new regime being itself. Such things are not deviations from republican legality. They are the assertion of oligarchic reality. This is oligarchic justice, oligarchic normality. The republic was yesterday. The oligarchy is today.

Conservatives’ congenital mistake is to try conserving something that no longer exists by supporting institutions that now belong to a regime so alien to republican life that it treats attempts at citizenship as crimes against the regime. And so they are. They call today’s American regime “our democracy.” It is “theirs,” all right, but not ours. It is a classic oligarchy.

What’s an Ex-citizen To Do?

First, stop pretending. Begin by rejecting—in heart and mind entirely, and publicly as prudence may dictate—the authority of the oligarchs who now control what used to be our republican institutions. Realize that you enjoy the rights God gave you only to the extent that your fellow ex-citizens recognize them, and that your only hope of continuing enjoyment lies in leaguing with them, on turning your back on the oligarchy and on effectively living republican lives with similarly minded people.

Citizenship is possible only when the many join together in the kind of mixed regime for the general good that our oligarchs rejected. Turning our backs to the oligarchy is possible for the twin purpose of rejecting un-republican rule and as the assertion of a new republican way of life. Citizenship happens when individuals join together under leaders of their choice to achieve common goals, both positive and negative.

Rejection of oligarchy is possible, even easy, if and when large numbers of persons do it together. This goes for ostensibly private corporations as well as for formerly republican institutions now in the oligarchs’ hands. The moment that millions of Americans, whether led by actual state governors in league with one another or by prospective presidents, recognize that Twitter and Facebook are enemy institutions, their power ends. The moment that millions are led to boycott Costco, or Pfizer, their officers are fired. The moment that these millions, so led, refuse the legitimacy of anything coming from Washington, its power ends.

Our oligarchs, having seen how easy it was to cower the majority of Americans to agree to the stupid, self-destructive practices of mask-wearing and lockdowns, having rejoiced in ruining the lives of small numbers of individual dissenters, believing that, under the media’s cover, their threats to crush opponents as white supremacists will forestall serious resistance, fantasize about applying the tools of the war on terror to America’s population.

But no. Their success was due to what remained of the American people’s confidence in them. That is now gone. The oligarchs have the FBI and CIA, and the Pentagon’s generals. But who will risk his pension, never mind his life, for them? Who will risk anything for Kamala Harris, never mind Joseph Biden?

Nor, in 2021, can anybody stop the governors and legislatures of any number of states from leading their peoples in settling what is and is not acceptable to them, how they shall and shall not live—that is, nobody can stop them as they decide to govern themselves.

The American people, divided as they are, cannot purge the oligarchs from what had been republican institutions. But those so minded have full power to defend themselves from them and to leave them to their own devices.".......

"I am well aware of the popular trend to mock Lindell for his crack addict past, and his Christian faith.  But for purposes of evaluating election fraud claims, I am much more interested in the claims in this documentary by Dr. Douglas Frank, who presents a compelling analysis of actual voting data being predictable by an algorithm derived from census data.  If Dr. Frank’s claim is false or inaccurate, I would like to see a mathematician’s explanation for why.  If Dr. Frank’s claim is true, it appears to be decisive evidence of election fraud. Additionally, and importantly, Mr. Lindell’s findings indicate the principal culprit in the election fraud of 2020 was and is a foreign country—China—which under the CCP clearly had an overwhelming motive to see Trump removed from office and almost certainly had and has the technical knowhow to engage in cyber-hacking to accomplish it.  That ought to be of concern to all Americans, regardless of political affiliation."

Tarrant County voters in the sliced and diced (aka gerrymandered) District 6 also went with Democrat Stephen Daniel over incumbent Republican U.S. Rep. Ron Wright. Daniel received 51% of votes to Wright’s 46% in Tarrant County. Wright ultimately won the seat though [by winning the entire district]. Tarrant County Elections had a snafu processing mail-in ballots earlier this week. A faulty printing job on the bar codes affected 20-25% of all mail-in ballots, requiring a timely replication of all those ballots. Elections officials worked with the Tarrant County Ballot Board to complete the process of making sure all of the affected ballots were properly duplicated by hand. “
