Obama Spied on Congress For the Ayatollah--You Know, the Way the Founders Intended

If By "Founders", You Mean Marx, Lenin and Engels

"So it turns out there was a government interfering in the presidential election. It was ours. It was the United States government, at the time being run by Barack Hussein O and his minions."--Rush Limbaugh

More than suppressing the economy to put everyone on welfare, more than gutting the military, more than wrecking healthcare to pave the way for single-payer, more than dictating a redefinition of marriage, more than dissolving America's borders or bankrupting the treasury, more than any other thing, Obama and Jarrett wanted this:

To rescue their teetering Ayatollah from the threat of regime change, and to give him nukes, money and Russian anti-aircraft missiles to protect those nukes.

To do that, Obama spied on the Congress. And especially the Senate.

Tablet Magazine: "[T]he spying was real and that it was done not in an effort to keep the country safe from threats—but in order to help the White House fight their domestic political opponents.

“At some point, the administration weaponized the NSA’s legitimate monitoring of communications of foreign officials to stay one step ahead of domestic political opponents,” says a pro-Israel political operative who was deeply involved in the day-to-day fight over the Iran Deal. “The NSA’s collections of foreigners became a means of gathering real-time intelligence on Americans engaged in perfectly legitimate political activism—activism, due to the nature of the issue, that naturally involved conversations with foreigners. We began to notice the White House was responding immediately, sometimes within 24 hours, to specific conversations we were having. At first, we thought it was a coincidence being amplified by our own paranoia. After a while, it simply became our working assumption that we were being spied on.”

This is what systematic abuse of foreign-intelligence collection for domestic political purposes looks like: Intelligence collected on Americans, lawmakers, and figures in the pro-Israel community was fed back to the Obama White House as part of its political operations. The administration got the drop on its opponents by using classified information, which it then used to draw up its own game plan to block and freeze those on the other side. And—with the help of certain journalists whose stories (and thus careers) depend on high-level access—terrorize them. ...

In order to spy on U.S. congressmen before the Iran Deal vote, the Obama administration exploited a loophole, which is described in the original Journal article. The U.S. intelligence community is supposed to keep tabs on foreign officials, even those representing allies. Hence, everyone in Washington knows that Israeli Ambassador Ron Dermer is under surveillance. But it’s different for his American interlocutors, especially U.S. lawmakers, whose identities are, according to NSA protocol, supposed to be, at the very least, redacted. But the standard for collecting and disseminating “intercepted communications involving U.S. lawmakers” is much less strict if it is swept up through “foreign-foreign” intercepts, for instance between a foreign ambassador and his capital. Washington, i.e. the seat of the American government, is where foreign ambassadors are supposed to meet with American officials. The Obama administration turned an ancient diplomatic convention inside out—foreign ambassadors were so dangerous that meeting them signaled betrayal of your own country.

During the long and contentious lead-up to the Iran Deal the Israeli ambassador was regularly briefing senior officials in Jerusalem, including the prime minister, about the situation, including his meetings with American lawmakers and Jewish community leaders. The Obama administration would be less interested in what the Israelis were doing than in the actions of those who actually had the ability to block the deal—namely, Senate and House members. The administration then fed this information to members of the press, who were happy to relay thinly veiled anti-Semitic conceits by accusing deal opponents of dual loyalty and being in the pay of foreign interests.

It didn’t take much imagination for members of Congress to imagine their names being inserted in the Iran deal echo chamber’s boilerplate—that they were beholden to “donors” and “foreign lobbies.”

What would happen if the White House leaked your phone call with the Israeli ambassador to a friendly reporter, and you were then profiled as betraying the interests of your constituents and the security of your nation to a foreign power? What if the fact of your phone call appeared under the byline of a famous columnist friendly to the Obama administration, say, in a major national publication? To make its case for the Iran Deal, the Obama administration redefined America’s pro-Israel community as agents of Israel.".......

As Leno put it: "Obama listens to the people."
Now we learn that not only did Obama weaponize Intel on behalf of the Mullahs and for Hillary's campaign, he also looted FANNIE and FREDDIE to pay for Obamacare. No limits, no respect, no patriotism. Only raw power.

Daniel Greenfield: "The left has rejected the outcome of the last two presidential elections won by Republicans. It has rejected the judicial authority of the Supreme Court when it decisions don’t accord with its agenda. It rejects the legislative authority of Congress when it is not dominated by the left.
It rejected the Constitution so long ago that it hardly bears mentioning.
It was for total unilateral executive authority under Obama. And now it’s for states unilaterally deciding what laws they will follow. (As long as that involves defying immigration laws under Trump, not following them under Obama.) It was for the sacrosanct authority of the Senate when it held the majority. Then it decried the Senate as an outmoded institution when the Republicans took it over.
It was for Obama defying the orders of Federal judges, no matter how well grounded in existing law, and it is for Federal judges overriding any order by Trump on any grounds whatsoever. It was for Obama penalizing whistleblowers, but now undermining the government from within has become “patriotic”.
There is no form of legal authority that the left accepts as a permanent institution. It only utilizes forms of authority selectively when it controls them. But when government officials refuse the orders of the duly elected government because their allegiance is to an ideology whose agenda is in conflict with the President and Congress, that’s not activism, protest, politics or civil disobedience; it’s treason."

"Testing...1...2...3...testing..."
Forget Rice. Even Jarrett. Holder. Lynch. Brennan. Rhodes. Clinton. All of them.

They only did what Obama wanted them to do.

Do you, senators?

Like Quiet on Rice: CNN--The Most Trusted Name in News Prevention

Our Motto: "SHHHHHH!"

Coumo, Sciutto & Lemon: Planet of the Mapes
CNN refutes the Rice Campaign Oppo Research-Surveillance story--you know, the story that they will not report on. Neat trick.

But to be fair, when Ted Kennedy was collaborating with the Kremlin, they were silent then, too.

But on the bright side, when they're busy endlessly flogging their Russian Obsession, they're not inciting violence against cops. Yay!

SHOCKING CNN-UPDATE: SEN. LEAHY CALLS FOR INVESTIGATING THE FORMER PRESIDENT FOR WIRETAPPING!:

"Leahy said he wanted a "truth and reconciliation commission" to conduct a "comprehensive" investigation into what he called illegal warrantless wiretapping...as well as politically-motivated hirings and firings.

He said he was open to whether such a commission would be congressionally appointed or would include Administration-appointed members similar to the 9/11 Commission. He did say any such commission should have power to subpoena witnesses and be able to grant immunity from prosecution except for perjury.".......

Oh, wait--that was in 2009. Leahy wanted to investigate former President George W. Bush for wiretapping. Nevermind.

Hey; remember when Sen. Leahy was aiding and abetting Soviet clients in Nicaragua?

Neither does CNN!

MORE BREAKING NEWS: #PresidentTrumpIsRightAgain!

Tucker Carlson: "Just a month ago, the Media told us it was absurd to say Obama spied on Trump. Now they say it would be absurd not to spy on Trump. Susan Rice's decision to unmask her political enemies, far from being a crime, they're now they're telling us, was routine and necessary."

FISA Eavesdropping-UPDATE: Charlie Martin:

"Before FISA, there really were no limits on what could be intercepted by intelligence agencies. This was abused over and over again, usually by the FBI, which used national security as a reason to intercept phone conversations of pretty much anyone who was thought to present some kind of a threat.
Even at the time FISA passed, though, civil libertarians were warning that there was little real protection against the Government using the information they collect maliciously. The problem goes back to the basics: you need to make sure that the people with access to the collected data were thoroughly checked and could be trusted.
In the United States, though, there's a significant loophole, called "an election."
Necessarily, when we elect a president, the president has complete access to any data -- the president is the authority who decides what data is to be protected, and with what rigor. The president's political appointees, just as necessarily, must have the same access. Our only real protection from illicit disclosure by these insiders is the degree to which they can be trusted. An unscrupulous political appointee on the president's national security staff can obtain anything and leak anything.
In the Obama administration, scruples about information security were notably lacking. We saw it with the Clinton emails, where information security procedures were openly flouted, and where, frankly, multiple felonious violations of the espionage went unpunished.
And we're seeing it now: Susan Rice, and probably a number of others, violated the provisions of FISA, and certainly, with no reasonable doubt violated the privacy of at least one U.S. Person.".......

NY Post: Fresh evidence the Russia ‘scandal’ is a Team Obama operation

"Do you suspect that the noise over Trump campaign contacts with the Russians is just a political hit arranged by Obama insiders before they left? You got fresh evidence of that Monday, with news that then-national security adviser Susan Rice was behind the “unmasking” of Trumpites in transcripts of calls with Russian officials. Again, nothing on the public record so far shows that anyone on Team Trump said anything improper on those calls. ...[T]wo issues are in play here: Russian meddling in the election, about which the nation already knows plenty — and the Obama team’s efforts to sabotage Team Trump.".......

Daily Caller: Trump Supporter Labeled ‘Fake News’ By ’60 Minutes’ Beats Everyone To Susan Rice Scoop
"Mike Cernovich, a journalist who has promoted conspiracy theories and was deemed “fake news” by “60 Minutes,” was the first to break the news that Obama’s former national security advisor Susan Rice made requests to unmask the identities of Trump associates.
Cernovich said in his report Sunday that New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman knew about the Rice requests, and “has chosen to sit on it in an effort to protect the reputation of former President Barack Obama.” A New York Times spokeswoman told The Daily Caller, “Cernovich’s claim regarding Maggie Haberman is 100 percent false.”
Bloomberg’s Eli Lake confirmed Cernovich’s report Monday, but did not include any details about Haberman sitting on the story. Cernovich told TheDC in an interview that Lake also sat on the story over the weekend. Lake did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The Bloomberg story didn’t give Cernovich any credit for his scoop and he said he wasn’t upset as he has more influence than Bloomberg.".......

Scott Pelley 's 60 Minutes interview with Cernovich was hilarious--it was like a Brontosaurus interviewing the Giant Meteor Hurtling Towards the Earth.

"...tick, tick, tick, tick, tick..."

In reality, it was more like Cernovich interviewing Pelley and CBS. Pelley claimed Hillary was in good health because "the Campaign told us." From what I understand, CBS Nightly News is on auto-loop; "Trump Lied, Trump Lied, Trump Lied, etc."--something they never said when, for instance, Obama told Bill Plante and Steve Kroft that he only learned about Hillary's home-brewed e-mail server from the news. In fact, he was e-mailing her on it using an alias.

I won't even go into Mapes and Rather, but I do want to mention CBS's Ted Koppel: Sean Hannity's ideas are not bad for America, Ted; they are America. We tried your ideas, and they got us into this mess.

Meanwhile, Chris Coumo, host of CNN's "Drag-Strip Groupies Against Global Warming" warns you: Do not believe your lying eyes about Rice's unmasking of political opponents. This might be an outrage if anybody but unemployed panhandlers at the bus terminal watched CNN.

"Smell my exhaust!"

Kurt Schlichter: The Russiagate Scam Will Blow Up In The Democrats’ Smug Faces

"The Trump campaign never colluded with the Russians. This is true even though the definition of “colluding” has been expanded to include pretty much any interaction with anyone or anything Russian. If they found out Reince Preibus had an old DVD of Rush Hour, Adam Schiff would be in front of a mic with CNN cutting in live. The whole stupid collusion thing has become a weird, Beautiful Mind-esque conspiracy theory with scores of Trumpaphobic loonies out there sharing their bizarre spider webs of intrigue via Twitter memes. Does Gorky Park have a grassy knoll?

Regardless, it’s safe to say that there was absolutely no collusion of any kind between Team Trump and anyone Russian. None. How do I know this to a near certainty? Because we haven't seen anybody leak any evidence of any in the six-plus months that they've been pushing this nonsense. ...

The only crime we know about for sure – the only one – is that some senior member of Obama’s intelligence community committed a felony by leaking classified information regarding Mike Flynn's intercepted communications. That's it. And that’s why the Democrats would rather talk about anything else. Understand that everything the Democrats say is a lie. Every single word, plus the punctuation. They’re dumb, but they're not so stupid as not to realize that this Putin nonsense, manufactured as a pathetic excuse for their utter humiliation in November, is falling apart. With the help of their media minions, they hope if they keep shouting “Look, Russians!” we’ll grow so bored we’ll just tune out. It’s their only hope for keeping Obama’s buddies off the chopping block. They all thought Hillary was going to win and that there would be no accountability, so they were safe using the government systems they had been entrusted to manage to spy on their incoming boss’s political opponents. Oops.".......

It was legal for Rice to ask for unmasking--but only for herself and cleared personnel--not for the felonious leaking to the Partisan Political Presss for partisan political purposes. There's your much-vaunted "collusion".

This is just a game of Three-Card Commie. Rice is in the frying pan now, but they were all in on it, every one of 'em, from Obama on down to Farkas and probably to the night janitor at the Bureau of Weights and Measures. All of them.

They know it. We know it.

And Zorro knows it.

"That's MR. Don Diego de la Vega to you, lady."
#RiggedSystem--UPDATE: First you have the FBI and the Hillary Clinton  campaign using the same British spy's opposition research interchangebly while Mrs. McCabe was taking money from Hillary staff. That's barely two degrees of separation. And now this, from Ace of Spades:

"Why would Obama suddenly allow broad dissemination of intel reports in his last days in office, making it impossible to find a leaker?
Why would Rice demand unmaskings of persons whose identities she probably knew in reports that had nothing to do with any criminal or counter-espionage probe?
The two moves were required together to start the conveyer belt of leaks from Rice, Clapper, and the whole gang to their co-conspirators at CNN and the Washington Post. The two work in tandem to propel the information across the national sea, like the sail that catches the wind and the mast that transfers the wind's power into the ship itself.
And that's why CNN is so furiously attacking a Real News story: They're protecting their sources, and protecting their own asses as well: In any genuine criminal probe of the leaks, CNN reporters could be sent to jail on a judge's contempt order if they refuse to reveal their sources, just as Judith Miller was ordered to jail for refusing to give up her sources in the Valerie Plame investigation.".......

Those bums at the Greyhound Station are watching history unfold after all.

Go Ahead and Cry For Me: Venezuelan Democracy Gutted, Ecuadorian Democracy Stolen

Hungry Children and Honest Elections Hardest Hit

AP: "Leftist candidate Lenin Moreno appeared to have won Ecuador's presidential election but his opposition rival refused to recognize the results, calling on his supporters to take to the streets to guard against fraud.
Sunday's second-round runoff in the Andean nation of 16 million was being watched closely as a barometer of whether the left, which had dominated South American politics for the past 15 years, could stop a string of right-wing victories across the region.
With almost 99 percent of polling places counted, Moreno had 51 percent of the vote while conservative banker Guillermo Lasso stood at just under 49 percent — a difference of about 230,000 votes.
Lasso said he would challenge the results in all of Ecuador's 24 provinces after three exit polls showed him winning. He also questioned why results, which took three days to calculate following the first round of voting in February, were announced so quickly in Sunday's runoff.
"This is very sickening. We're not going to allow it," Lasso told supporters, adding that he had shared his concerns with the head of the Organization of American States in a phone conversation.
He accused President Rafael Correa of trying to install an illegitimate government and called on his supporters to protest peacefully but firmly.
Thousands of outraged Lasso supporters shouting "fraud" crashed through metal barricades to almost reach the entrance of the electoral council's headquarters in Quito."

Fausta's Blog:

"As reported yesterday, early results showed opposition candidate Guillermo Lasso as the winner of yesterday’s presidential election, while later in the evening the CNE (National Election Council) declared Lenín Moreno as winning the preliminary count.

The CNE website is now up, showing as of the writing of this post:
Lasso 48.8% with 4,813,217 votes
Moreno 51.16% with 5,0142,295
However, last night the CNE’s results showed otherwise. Argentinian journalist Jorge Lanata tweeted a screen capture showing Lasso ahead on total votes and Moreno ahead by 2+ percentage points, with the comment,
#IMustSay ECUADOR is the first country where 4,621,654 voters equals 48.93%. And 4,523,513 equals 51.07%.#Fraud"

Lasso tweeted a screen capture, “This is only one example of the records showing inconsistencies. They’ve switched their votes for ours.”.......

While the Ecuadorian Commies are stealing the election there, The Venezuelan Commies have abolished the legislature. Fausta again:

Venezuela: the Supreme Court takes over the National Assembly

"Undeniably, Venezuela is a dictatorship:

Venezuela Supreme Court Assumes Powers of Opposition-Controlled Congress
The Supreme Court, which is packed with allies of President Nicolás Maduro, ruled late Wednesday that the congress was in contempt of court for having sworn in three lawmakers from the remote Amazonas state whom the ruling party had accused of electoral fraud. The court said it takes over all “parliamentary capacities” until the conflict is resolved.
“Maduro now has all powers in his hands, without any checks and balances,” Mr. [Assembly President Julio] Borges said. “This is the action of a desperate man who knows the whole world is turning against him.”
Maduro and his regime have been doing this for a while; this move only makes it official.".......

There has been a wave of poisonings from starving Venezuelans eating yucca--you know, the way Karl Marx intended.

None of this will end well--but end it must.

Lord, let Your spirit of liberty be upon Your people and let oppression flee and be far from them, in the mighty Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen and amen.

Flee, flea-UPDATE: Due to backlash, Maduro orders puppety Court to restore Legislature, including immunity for criticizing his royal commie ass. Which really only proves the point, no?

Remember when Obama left the military dictatorship of Cuba for Argentina to tell South American schoolchildren this:

“So often in the past there has been a division between left and right, between capitalists and communists or socialists, and especially in the Americas, that’s been a big debate. Those are interesting intellectual arguments, but I think for your generation, you should be practical and just choose from what works. You don’t have to worry about whether it really fits into socialist theory or capitalist theory. You should just decide what works.”

Do Cubans get to debate? Is it an "interesting intellectual argument" to those in Maduro's jails?

17 Intel Agencies Agree: None of Us Ever Investigated the DNC's E-Mail Server

Not One.

Because you certainly can't have a law enforcement agency dedicated to fighting crime and corruption like the FBI pawing through the Democrat Party's server!

No, that investigation was all done by a private firm hired by the DNC, and the results were spoon-fed to the Intel Community for rubber-stamping by Obama appointees. The phony number 17 comes from Clapper who speaks for all 17 agencies as DNI.

Jeff Dunetz at The Lid:

"Reported in January, the FBI based its decision that it was the Russians that hacked into the DNC computers on a report commissioned by the DNC and generated by a company called CrowdStrike (the FBI was never allowed to examine the DNC server). The VOA recently caught CrowdStrike creating a bogus and unrelated hacking charge against Russia, and making up the facts to prove its veracity.

To make their determination that the Democrats were hacked by Russia, the FBI relied exclusively on information from private digital forensics company Crowdstrike. It wasn’t the FBI’s fault the DNC wouldn’t allow the FBI to look a their servers for the hacking investigation, instead forced them to use the Crowdstrike report paid for by the Party. ...

The VOA reported:
U.S. cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike has revised and retracted statements it used to buttress claims of Russian hacking during last year’s American presidential election campaign. The shift followed a VOA report that the company misrepresented data published by an influential British think tank. ...

CrowdStrike was first to link hacks of Democratic Party computers to Russian actors last year, but some cybersecurity experts have questioned its evidence. The company has come under fire from some Republicans who say charges of Kremlin meddling in the election are overblown.

After CrowdStrike released its Ukraine report, company co-founder Dmitri Alperovitch claimed it provided added evidence of Russian election interference. In both hacks, he said, the company found malware used by “Fancy Bear,” a group with ties to Russian intelligence agencies.

CrowdStrike’s claims of heavy Ukrainian artillery losses were widely circulated in U.S. media.

On Thursday, CrowdStrike walked back key parts of its Ukraine report.

The company removed language that said Ukraine’s artillery lost 80 percent of the Soviet-era D-30 howitzers, which used aiming software that purportedly was hacked. Instead, the revised report cites figures of 15 to 20 percent losses in combat operations, attributing the figures to IISS.
The company who the DNC and FBI relied on not only made up a problem that didn’t exist, but then blamed it on Putin’s Russia. Shouldn’t that call into question the entire premise that it was the Russians who hacked into the DNC?

Even before the Democrats were using the Russian hack story in a lame attempt damage the nascent Trump presidency, they were using the tale as a tool to deflect from the Clinton scandals–before Wikileaks started publishing the Podesta emails. They took a joke made by the future president and turned it into a scandal, and when Wikileaks began publishing the Podesta emails, they simply added it to the Putin charges.

Now I am not suggesting that Putin is a boy scout, he is a despicable tyrant. Was the report commissioned purely for campaign purposes? Based on the fact that the company has close ties to the Obama team, is friends with Hillary Clinton, and is connected closely to Ukrainian oligarch Victor Pinchuk (another friend of the DNC) can we really believe the report was done without  DNC input, or did members of the party the campaign direct Crowdstrike toward the Russians, which the company already has a beef with?  If everything was above board—well why didn’t the DNC allow the government intelligence sources to look at their server?

But most importantly, why is the FBI relying on this report, and why isn’t the House or Senate Committees investigating the Crowdstrike report?".......

Oh, I think Crowdstrike and the Democrats who hired them will have to testify:

Donald J. Trump
 @realDonaldTrump
Is it true the DNC would not allow the FBI access to check server or other equipment after learning it was hacked? Can that be possible?

I support Ukrainian freedom--and tiny little Montenegro's, too--but this DNC server-crap stinks to high heaven.

Maybe the Russians weren't even in the loop. iBankCoin:

"Is it a stretch to suggest that the CrowdStrike report on the DNC hack was fabricated to pin the DNC hack on Russia?

Let’s not forget that Dr. Steve Pieczenik – former CIA spookmaster and expert on all things cloak and dagger, completely laid out what’s going on:
“We initiated a counter-coup through Julian Assange, who’s been very brave and really quite formidable in his ability to come forth and provide all the necessary emails that we gave to him to undermine Hillary and Bill Clinton.”
In other words, ‘white hats’ within US intelligence agencies passed the emails to Julian Assange in order to wrestle control of the USA out of the hands of the Clinton cabal of Neocon globalists.".......

Maybe that's how it went down. Maybe there are Deep-State patriots who knew all the Clinton Crime Family's dirty deals, from selling military secrets to the Chinese to selling pardons to Iran sanctions violators to selling hi-tech secrets to the Russians at Skolkovo and selling uranium out of the State Department. Sell, sell, sell, sell. The Clintons would sell the Statue of Liberty to the North Koreans for a missile silo if there was a crooked nickel in it.

Not to mention Felony Clinton's nasty habit of getting spies killed with her Open Book Server.

Maybe they used that criminal Assange because they couldn't let Granny Grifter and Dollar Bill go unchallenged. Whatever else the Russians are guilty of, maybe the DNC-hacking "Russians" aren't really Russian after all.

Mini-me Magnum, P.I.-UPDATE: Byron York:

"Sen. Charles Grassley, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, has sent a letter to FBI Director James Comey demanding the story behind the FBI’s reported plan to pay the author of a lurid and unsubstantiated dossier on candidate Donald Trump. In particular, Grassley appears to be zeroing in on the FBI’s deputy director, Andrew McCabe, indicating Senate investigators want to learn more about McCabe’s role in a key aspect of the Trump-Russia affair.

Grassley began his investigation after the Washington Post reported on February 28 that the FBI, “a few weeks before the election,” agreed to pay former British spy Christopher Steele to investigate Trump. Prior to that, supporters of the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign had paid Steele to gather intelligence on Clinton’s Republican rival."........

The Professor Watchlist and the One-Party Monoversity Campus: "Don't You Know We're Above Criticism?"

University
"Say--this collective dialectic-stuff is really swell!
That Marx fellow that Professor told us about may really be on to something!"

[yoo-nuh-vur-si-tee]

1250-1300; Middle English universite < Old French < Medieval Latin ū niversit ā s, Late Latin: guild, corporation, Latin: totality, equivalent to ūnivers(us)

see universe, noun:
"1. the totality of known or supposed objects and phenomena throughout space; the cosmos; macrocosm.
2. the whole world, especially with reference to humanity:
a truth known throughout the universe.
3. a world or sphere in which something exists or prevails:
his private universe.
4. Also called universe of discourse. Logic. the aggregate of all the objects, attributes, and relations assumed or implied in a given discussion.
5. Also called universal set. Mathematics. the set of all elements under discussion for a given problem.
6. Statistics. the entire population under study.".......
Totality. The whole. World. Aggregate. All the elements under discussion. The entire population.

ALL. That's what the word "universe"--and therefore University--means.

But we barely have universities today. We have mono-versities.

Although they demand taxpayer money--and an awful lot of it--from citizens of all political opinions, they are largely One-Party Campuses teaching one political opinion--Leftism--as fact. And they impose it even in non-opinion settings such as math classes.

It's political indoctrination...and power imbalance between professor and student be damned. As Leftists, they insist on injecting their creepy politics into every aspect of life-and are now shocked, SHOCKED that they are being treated like the politicians they are. Except even politicians have to stand for election, not tenure.

"How do I tell Biff I was born...Republican?!!!"
Daily Caller: Leftists Lose Their Minds Over ‘Professor Watch List’ Created To Expose Liberal Indoctrination On Campus
"Turning Point USA, a conservative organization made up of high school and college students, has compiled a website database of more than 200 professors at universities across the nation that “discriminate against conservative students and advance leftist propaganda in the classroom.”

The website, professorwatchlist.org, doesn’t list just any professor — TPUSA requires proof.

“This watchlist is an aggregated list of pre-existing news stories that were published by a variety of news organizations,” the website states. “While we accept tips for new additions on our website, we only publish profiles on incidents that have already been reported by a credible source.”

The website also says that TPUSA is not attempting to silence the professors on the list, but instead they are exposing “specific incidents and names of professors that advance a radical agenda in lecture halls.”.......

The reaction is about what you would expect from One-Party Tenured Cry-Bullies:

Mobs!, Pitchforks!, McCarthyism!, Trump!, Hitler!, The Silencing!, Look, Ma, I'm A Victim!, Quashing Dissent! Rove! Bannon! Bush! More Trump!, More Hitler!, Racist, Sexist, blah blah blah.

What they're really saying is they are above scrutiny and beyond criticism, even when they force students to sign loyalty pledges to Obama or hand out bad grades for using the word "mankind" or actually assault students, or call them terrorists for supporting Trump or simply waste the students time and money by teaching "The Sayings of Hillary" in Ancient Sumerian Cuneiform class. Not to be confused with Contemporary Sumerian Cuneiform. Not to be confused with the President's tweets.

There's a place for Leftism in academic discourse. But not the only place.

In the immortal words of Aristotle: "We have to choose between nihilism and the material paradigm of narrative. The subject is contextualised into a substructuralist desituationism that includes consciousness as a paradox."

CliffsNotes version: "Get over yourself, people."

(Did you see how I mixed the singular "yourself" with the plural "people"? I learned that at college. This one:)

Alpha Beta Belushi!
 Spring Break Fevah-UPDATE: WSJ:

"How did we get here, and what can be done? On the first question, Mr. Haidt points to a braided set of causes. There’s the rise in political polarization, which is related to the relatively recent “political purification of the universities.” While the academy has leaned left since at least the 1920s, Mr. Haidt says “it was always just a lean.” Beginning in the early 1990s, as the professors of the Greatest Generation retired, it became a full-on tilt.

“Now there are no more conservative voices on the faculty or administration,” he says, exaggerating only a little. Heterodox Academy cites research showing that the ratio of left to right professors in 1995 was 2 to 1. Now it is 5 to 1."

A double board certified physician and Yale University fellow, Klein said the Department of Veterans Affairs (V.A.) took away his patients and privileges almost a year ago after, he alleges, he blew the whistle on secret wait-lists and wait-time manipulation at the V.A. in Poplar Bluff, Mo., as well as his suspicion that some veterans were reselling their prescriptions on the black market.
When his superiors did nothing, Klein went to the inspector general.
Klein was initially placed on administrative leave. The Missouri-V.A. closed his pain management clinic and tried to terminate him. According to court documents, the V.A. tried to fire Klein “not based on substandard care or lack of clinical competence” but instead for “consistent acceleration of trivial matters through his chain of command.”
“I do not consider secret wait-lists and manipulations of wait times to be trivial matters,” Klein said.".......

No, but The BureaucraBlob considers veterans to be trivial. What it considers important are its own salaries, benefits, perks, bonuses, permanent jobs and permanent power.

When the problem is long wait times to see a doctor, The Blob punishes veterans further by benching a good doctor who could be serving veterans--not to mention the tax-payers. Not only should they be fired, they should be charged.

Like the EducationBlob which is run for the benefit of unionized grown-ups and not kids, the VetBlob is run for the benefit its unionized employees, not for vets.

Which brings us to this story from Christian Action Network:

The taxpayer-supported Department of Education (DOE) is funding an Islamic indoctrination program in America’s public schools in grades 5 through 12, Christian Action Network has learned.
Students are taught to learn Islamic scripture, give the meaning of that Islamic verse, and explain how they can use it in their daily lives.
“How can this be anything other than indoctrination?” said Martin Mawyer, president and founder of Christian Action Network (CAN).
The DOE offers no similar lesson plans for Christianity, Mawyer added. “There is absolutely no balance in the curricula offered. Only Islam is given a full course of study.”
The Islamic education program, funded by the DOE, is primarily disseminated through PBS LearningMedia and the Educational Broadcasting Corporation.".......

Something tells me this may not help PBS's fight to stay on the taxpayer tit.

This is the Dawa, a snare from Obama's Muslim Brotherhood moles burrowed deep into in the bowels of the Edu-Blobocracy.

And what is Dawa?

She's glad you asked:

"If Islamism is the ideology, then dawa encompasses all the methods by which it is spread. The term “dawa” refers to activities carried out by Islamists to win adherents and enlist them in a campaign to impose sharia law on all societies. Dawa is not the Islamic equivalent of religious proselytizing, although it is often disguised as such by blending humanitarian activities with subversive political activities.
Dawa as practiced by Islamists employs a wide range of mechanisms to advance the goal of imposing Islamic law (sharia) on society. This includes proselytization, but extends beyond that. In Western countries, dawa aims both to convert non-Muslims to political Islam and to bring about more extreme views among existing Muslims. The ultimate goal of dawa is to destroy the political institutions of a free society and replace them with strict sharia. Islamists rely on both violent and nonviolent means to achieve their objectives.
Dawa is to the Islamists of today what the “long march through the institutions” was to twentieth-century Marxists. It is subversion from within, the use of religious freedom in order to undermine that very freedom. After Islamists gain power, dawa is to them what Gleichschaltung  (synchronization) of all aspects of German state, civil, and social institutions was to the National Socialists.
Dawa as practiced by Islamists employs a wide range of mechanisms to advance the goal of imposing Islamic law (sharia) on society.
The Islamists’ program is fundamentally incompatible with the U.S. Constitution, religious tolerance, the equality of men and women, the tolerance of different sexual orientations, and other fundamental human rights.
The biggest challenge the United States faces in combating political Islam, however, is the extent to which agents of dawa can exploit the constitutional and legal protections that guarantee American citizens freedom of religion and freedom of speech—freedoms that would of course be swept away if the Islamists achieved their goals.".......

The first story is about the UnionBlob putting themselves ahead of veterans. The second story is about the Muslim Brotherhood penetration of the Perma-Blob.

And both stories are about the need to gut the pernicious Administrative State that thinks itself the Ruler of a free people, and not their servant.

Die, Beast, die.

Drain that Swamp, Mr. President--the sooner, the better.
