Reagan is inspiring, clear and specific in his Captive Nation statement, while Obama is weak and muddled, mumbling about empowerment. And he is muddy and muddled because he's trying to obscure one central fact: Barack Obama is sympathetic to the Captors because he is a Communist.

I don't even say it pejoratively, only informationally. All his parents and mentors were communists and he is, too. It doesn't require facial hair and an accent. Notorious RBG doesn't have an accent or facial hair, does she?

Obama went to the Cuban Police State to visit the Military Dictators although he will not call Cuba a 'police state' or call the Castros 'military dictators'. Obama made a point of being photographed saluting under the visage of Che. The building with Che's image is the Interior Ministry, the department in charge of the Cuban Gulag. Our Interior Dept. surveys the landscape; their Interior Ministry surveys the political landscape to repress any growth of freedom. Obama symbolically saluted that malignant vision.

He then travelled to Argentina to tell schoolchildren this:

“So often in the past there has been a division between left and right, between capitalists and communists or socialists, and especially in the Americas, that’s been a big debate. Those are interesting intellectual arguments, but I think for your generation, you should be practical and just choose from what works. You don’t have to worry about whether it really fits into socialist theory or capitalist theory. You should just decide what works.”

The Cold War was a "big debate"? And it's not just an "interesting intellectual argument" to those in Cuban prisons.

But the unspoken implication is that Obama is telling them "That's what I do, kids. I choose between communist and capitalist policies." And reporters could then ask him which of his policies are communist. And then I woke up.

Instead we get reporters like
Leslie Stahl, aghast that Trump calls Hillary a criminal, which is like calling the sky blue.
Matt Lauer wetting his pants, trying to browbeat Trump into playing by the same old Rules for Republican Losers.
Chris Matthews protesting when Benghazi relatives say that Hillary got their loved ones killed.

These reporters are basically asking that they not be reminded of what they know deep down to be true about their candidate so they can keep their own illusions intact.

Interestingly, Hillary failed at Benghazi for the same reasons she failed the women her husband molested; Politics.

In Libya, she couldn't send help to the battle because Obama was running for re-election on the basis he had already won the war on terrorists. In Bimbogate, she was also defending a president seeking re-election. And in both cases, by defending these presidents, she was defending her own future candidacy.

The Clintons have already committed and forgotten more scandals than any other politicians will ever have. Selling pardons, selling military secrets to China, using the IRS to harass opponents, investigating women attacked by Bill, etc., etc., etc..

Even those of us who lived through it want to forget the sleaze, grift, crime and shabby residue of those years, not to mention all the bribery and grift committed since then at the State Dept. and the Clinton Foundation.

When we say Obama is a communist and Clinton is a criminal, we do it for the same reasons we say "radical Islamic terrorism";

One, it's true.

Two, to defeat a corrupt ideology, you have to name it.

And three, the Captive Nation today is America.

Smith cuts in to attack Jindal: :Governor, you know, you know that that phrase you just used is is one that’s seen by many as, as derogatory, right? I, I just wonder why it is that you use that phrase when there’s a certain segment of the population that believes it’s a real dig on ’em.”

Jindal: "Well, Shepard, it’s not meant to be. The point is we’ve got to move beyond race. Look these police officers, these are, are the men and women that run towards danger not away from it so that we can be safe. It is time for us to be unified as, as a country We’ve to look beyond race. I, I think that’s one, one of the dumbest ways for us to divide people. It’s one of the dumbest way to for us to classify people, or, or categorize people. We shouldn’t be divided, we do need to be united. These are police officers–they don’t care whether you’re black or white they will run towards danger to protect you. That’s what they swear, that’s, that’s their duty, that’s what they do first. Smith argues back at Jindal:“This sounds like two different things to me, governor. I mean, we had, we had an incident involving a black suspect who was shot and killed. But this is clearly, according to the mayor of Baton Rouge, this is an, this is an ambush of law enforcement officers that’s sending shock waves really across the nation at this moment having nothing to do with anything except innocent officers on patrol and shot dead at a B Quick store on Airline Highway in Baton Rouge.”...................................

Shep seems to be saying these attacks were just run-of-the mill street violence, not an assassination movement, an attack on the very idea of policing and on our civilization.

But beyond that, he's mouthing the Black Lives Matter propaganda point that no one else should claim that their lives matter, as it diminishes the BLM's special claim to victimhood.

It's not just that Shep is a liberal. Hell, liberal journalists created FOX by refusing to tell both sides. Or that the other FOX reporters shun him.

It's just that Shep is so...Sheppy.

In scientific terms, Shep is what is known as "a hysterical ninny". So much so, that ordinary hysterical ninnies violently object to being lumped into the Shepard Smith Hysterical Ninny category with him. Even everyday hysterical ninnies have standards.

I remember when Kevin McCarthy blew his chance to be Speaker. To Shep, it was Armageddon. The Government was leaderless! Planes were falling out of the sky! The Nation might not survive! These contacts make my eyes look Purple just like Liz Taylor's!

In reality, we went seamlessly from Speaker Boehner to Speaker Ryan. Ho, hum.

"(Fox): “Gunman targeted whites,” read the lead story headline in the Commercial Appeal, a member of the USA Today network. The headline was accurate, as Dallas gunman Micah Xavier Johnson explicitly talked about wanted to kill white police officers before he was eliminated via robot bomb.
That didn’t stop protestors from gathering outside the paper’s office in downtown Memphis on Wednesday to express their displeasure, some holding signs that read “Black Lives Matter.”
Commercial Appeal editor Louis Graham quickly apologized after meeting with the protestors, and wrote an editorial titled, “We got it wrong.”

In case you’re feeling as if you must be missing something here, you didn’t. That was essentially the entire story. The shooter told law enforcement as a direct quote that he wanted to kill white people, particularly white cops. Nobody coerced the statement out of him. He just put it out there for the world to digest. The Commercial Appeal in Memphis ran a short headline stating exactly that fact. And then the Black Lives Matter protesters showed up outside their offices, so the editor – Louis Graham – quickly ran to his keyboard to issue a full throated apology for printing something which he again noted was factually accurate as part of the retraction." .......................

Let the Mau-Mauing begin. And don't kid yourself, it is just the beginning once you cave in to the mob. Self-Editor Louis Graham of The Memphis Commercial Appeal goes Full Grovel:

"In my view the headline was so lacking in context as to be tone deaf, particularly in a city with a 65 percent African American population."

Because there are black facts and white facts. To his credit, the editor promised to never, ever print any pesky facts again.

*Charleston: Feds screw up Dylan Roof's background check. Solution: Gun Control!
*Orlando: Feds close Mateen investigation, accepting his claim that he was being picked on. With so many other cases being created by Obama letting in new terror sympathizers, investigators must move on. Solution: Gun Control!

When a grand jury and the DOJ investigators both exonerate completely Officer Wilson, Obama hints that he was guilty and says "We may never know what really happened".
When Omar Mateen pledges allegiance to ISIS, we just can't say what his motives were.
Now we can't untangle this Dallas racist, either?

The Nurse Ratchet Effect: Exit Stage Left

I was puzzled.

In the bad old days (that Obama seems hell-bent on resurrecting), the Communists had a one-way ratchet policy for their victim nations.

No country, once captured by Communists could ever be allowed to return to freedom.

So if this truly were a moral universe, those words would have turned to wasps in Hillary's mouth.
